It was dead accurate though. The only reason McConnell was able to maneuver the way he did was by invoking the "Reid Rule" and the " Biden Rule".That is apples to oranges...
There wasn't a "Biden Rule". That is simply words spoken over 20 years earlier toward an action which had never actually been taken... and the "Reid Rule" has absolutely nothing to do with blocking a Supreme Court vote.It was dead accurate though. In a perfect world, Garlsmd should've gotten a hearing, but what happened was a result of shortsighted politics coming back to bite.
I know Biden was a floor speech... and I know Reid was originally dealing with federal judges. The point is, if they'd both just followed Senate rules, there'd be no unintended consequences and the Garland hearing would've happened. There wasn't a "Biden Rule". MG should have gotten a vote but you can't deny the Biden position was to not process a SCOTUS nominee during an election year.
The Reid Rule applied to every other judicial nomination - extending it to SCOTUS is the natural conclusion. Reid made the bed, McConnell simply tucked in the last corner.
Just prior to Biden saying that the Democrats could have easily justified blocking the nomination of Clarence Thomas (a little over a year before the election) but they did not. And George Bush was allowed to have a very young and conservative justice on the bench who never asks any questions, sleeps most of the time and picks his nose while fantasizing about the escapades of Long Dong Silver.MG should have gotten a vote but you can't deny the Biden position was to not process a SCOTUS nominee during an election year.

He will fit better in the SCOTUS. Get used to the thought. From a former Kavanaugh colleague. Sounds like Kavanaugh would fit in quite well in the current WH. Evidently, he was the one who did a lot of the leaking on the Starr investigation.
Opinion | David Brock: The Brett Kavanaugh I knew shouldn't sit on the Supreme Court
Does that upset you? Dims have never leaked anything right? From a former Kavanaugh colleague. Sounds like Kavanaugh would fit in quite well in the current WH. Evidently, he was the one who did a lot of the leaking on the Starr investigation.

I think the left is finally coming to realize that the Kavanaugh nomination spells disaster for their futures. They've been too busy being pro criminal and working hard on those tranny bathrooms that they almost let Trumps greatest victory happen without a fight. It will still happen though even with all the fake leaking, planted protesters, and "child survivor" testimony. They put all their eggs in the impeachment basket and forgot about SCOTUS. OOPS!He will fit better in the SCOTUS. Get used to the thought.

The next nomination is going to be the best entertainment since election night. I don't care who it is. I hope he nominates Garland. They will still lose their ****ing mindsI think the left is finally coming to realize that the Kavanaugh nomination spells disaster for their futures. Wait David Brock? Like Media Matters David Brock? That would be like Steve Bannon offering his opinion on a Democrat. Brock is pure sleaze. From a former Kavanaugh colleague. I never even contemplated 3 nominations. I fully expected Trump to get his two picks on the court to seal the fate of libtards for decades. 3 picks? That would be glorious. The next nomination is going to be the best entertainment since election night. I don't care who it is. I hope he nominates Garland. They will still lose their ****ing minds
So all I could see was yet another character assassination hit job with no critical review of his judicial opinions on record? Did I miss something? From a former Kavanaugh colleague. Ruth Vadar is 85. She can't live/function for another 6 years at that high a level. Hell she can't stay awake NOW.I never even contemplated 3 nominations. I fully expected Trump to get his two picks on the court to seal the fate of libtards for decades. 3 picks? That would be glorious.
Has the left flipped out about these people being White males yet? Or are they saving that for their last ditch attempt to stifle progress?
