Again - we will know how much they have improved after the UF game. But playing guys on D who are clearly not good enough and have not been able to get it done for multiple seasons will insure delays in developing better, younger players. If they do beat UF, the odds of 7-5 or better go up considerably. If not they are staring at 5-7 or 6-6.

I do like that Pruitt was tinkering all game. He knows he's got a lack of talent, but he seems like he'll keep fostering competition until players emerge from the fire. I also like how he shoulders all the blame. The players and recruits are drawn to that.

Disappointed and disgusted in the way our DL and LBs played today. Yes, the secondary looked terrible...but, damn. A few times we had 3 true freshmen back there trying to stop Will Grier and those WRs, with Grier having all the time in the world...what secondary wouldn't look horrible? I admit, I was very wrong with how I felt our DL and LBs would play. No physicality or get-up, whatsoever...and I didn't expect that. Although I'm very disappointed and disgusted, I do believe we will get better on D, especially in the secondary (however, Micah Abernathy still needs to be stirring Garorade). Pruitt is going to have to fully challenge the guys up front though, and find which of them TRULY has some sand to em.
Offensively, I believe we're good. Yes, some things need polished...but, I saw potential to get way better on this side of the ball, unlike the D.
JG looked good and confident.
Although I love how hard Tim Jordan runs, losing Chandler hurt us. A couple of runs to the outside, when Jordan cut it up and got 4 or 5 (which is good), Chandler maybe makes those cuts and is gone. WRs looked much better today...I can't recall a single dropped pass.
Im still excited about our OL. After starting shaky, they settled in nicely. They just have to play more games with each other, build continuity...heck, Trey Smith (who had 2 killer penalties!!!) has only been back what, 2 wks. Jhamir Johnson struggled a couple of times, bit that dude can play. I like our OL, and I'm very excited about them going forward.
Those of you who tried telling me about the DL, and our pass rush, you were right, I was wrong. Even though I didn't expect it to be great overnight, I did expect a little more than what they brought today. They got dominated, and I hope they dig deeper going forward.

No. I think we should beat the 3 cupcakes, UK and Vandy and 2/4 of WVU, UF, SCAR and Mizzou, which most would consider winnable games. I think going 50/50 against teams with comparable talent is the breakeven. That's 7 wins. Winning 1/4 of the toss-up games is 6 wins or 25%, which means we're losing more toss-ups than we're winning. I won't be upset with 6 wins-- I just think that puts us a game to the downside and I'm hoping for better.

It did not show on the score board but the offense is better. We don't know how bad that defense for WV is, yet.

As with most of these things it's never as good or as bad as it seems. I'd say we're not as bad as we think and I definitely don't think they're as good as we made them look.

We’ll be alright McGill. A lot of youth, new scheme, terrible matchup.

Had some positive to go off of. That WVU offense is legit as they come.

Man I hope you are right..I feel like every doubt I have had was just justified and confirmed. I am not looking forward to the embarrassment that is going to be heaped on us in Oct..

I need that gif of Butch against Georgia where he tells the ref. That’s ********. That’s ******** right there. Cause that’s what your post is. ********. Those kids did not quit. Kongbo and d Taylor and a few others may have but plenty of those kids especially the freshman were busting their tails and the O looked better and WV is way better than Vandy. I ain’t happy but this team will beat Florida and will get to a bowl this year.

Only One team (Bama) is going to have a QB and WRs on the level that WVU had. Plus our young guns on the back end will keep improving.

I think we're going to see this in the weeks to come. We showed some weaknesses today and their players and coaches were able to capitalize on that. We're not great, but neither are our next three opponents.

LA..we are a cupcake. It is sad, but it is true. This defense is bad.
