Really love his honesty! Did not sugarcoat any one answer. Told it exactly how it was and I believed every single bit of it. We definitely ran into a buzz saw today. Doubt we face a better offense all year. The keys for this team going forward is our offense MUST be effective every time they have the ball. Our D is thin and we cannot fall behind.

That was excellent! He took a lot of responsibility on himself. I LOVE this guy!
It was excellent...all I can say is enjoy the process because he knows it is and we know it is...watch this team get better as the season goes on.
How many even listened to Pruitt telling about the offensive line and how they had just played very little together..because they were not sure who and when they would get some of the starters back

I think we have a good coach. Sucks to lose and it always will. but not going to claim any moral victory. A loss is a loss but i actually didn't cringe watching our offense this time like last year. And going for the TD on fourth took fortitude. That wasn't on any of Jones's "charts" I am sure

We will see better offenses: Alabama and Georgia come to mind.

Actually it made sense. Thats why they got better as the game went on. Also made sense about WV playing 7 man protect being why we didn't see us getting pressure. We pull enough guys to outnumber them, we leave the backend 1 on 1 and Grier and his WR's are too good to do that. Everytime we loaded the box with an 8th man we got burned.

I been as critical as anybody to this staff being rookies at their jobs and whatnot but I didn't see a coach making excuses. I seen just the opposite actually. I heard a coach speaking like a coach and actually saying reasons for this or that the way a coach would instead of going off on a brick by brick or eye discipline tangent like I've been hearing for the last few years. For that, I have respect for Pruitt.

Zero excuse from Pruitt in this. It sounded like he was defending his football team throughout. That’s an important distinction. He knows how critical it is that they remain confident and learn. They showed signs of progressing today, they just didn’t get the job done in the secondary. also need to improve our offensive play calling because we had clear mismatches in the passing game and didn’t capitalize. Tbf, the defense left us with horrible field positioning the entire second half. It was a tough game but we did not look attrocious outside of our pass coverage imo

Love our coach. Finally we have a coach who took some blame for some bad calls. This loss sucks but to be honest, i don’t feel like I do after a Butch loss.

Well most of us didnt feel bad when he lost to Oregon his first year but didnt really turn out well. Not saying Pruitt is Butch but at this point in 2013 we were all pretty lenient on the big losses.

We may see a few with more overall balance, as far as a passing game goes we probably won't see any better for sure. Maybe a few that are comparable, but it was a good early season test for our secondary and one that we should benefit from down the road. No doubt we have to get better in all phases and more consistent, but I did see some positives today as well. GBO!!!!!

You have what to base this on, because he doesn't BS in interviews? Stop washing the balls just because they coach here, this guy has a lot to prove.
Horrible take. There wasn’t any major coaching decisions that were controversial which was a theme in the Butch years. Pruitt also took chances with a young team. Some paid off and some didn’t. This guy is a much better coach than Butch. This loss sucks but it wasn’t the typical loss due to incompetence like the previous regime.
