Because NOTHING is all or nothing. Butch failed and that’s why he’s gone. When you’re stretching it by saying he WASTED Peterman? That’s when you’re doing your own version of #MeToo. The real mistakes get mixed in with the bullshizz. And I don’t get “offended” at your bisch every other second act...I just want to turn the volume down. I fired the dude last year. Catch up and enjoy the season.

I was out to dinner with work collegue, the aforementioned Bammer, and he was going on and on how Bama's 3rd string would go 8-4, the dynasty will continue even after Saban retires. He said only remembers the losses, and the we're two plays from having 3 in a row...ref Clemson two years ago. Also he said every HC in SEC would eventually be a Sabanite.But capped it off the he wished TN could be a rival again. Made me wanna throw up in mouth.

In a very nonchalant way I would say almost as an aside not even really looking at him:

"You know Saban's had a really incredible run at Alabama. I figure after he leaves the TN-AL series goes back to TN winning 10 out of 12 like it was just before he got there. That'll last for about a decade or so and then the series'll probably flip again."

At that moment I'd want to excuse myself (very proper-like) to go to the restroom or something, just anything to leave him hanging so he could think about that for a few minutes. When I got back from the restroom I'd come walking up while talking on my phone, "sorry, family emergency, gotta run." Hand him some money and say, "can you take care of the check? Great. Appreciate it." Then leave.

I'm in the camp that thinks if Kiffin gets a P5 job this year, say LSU maybe, Hurts goes with Kiffin. If Stidham wasn't a junior this year I could see Hurts with Malzahn next year. I just hope he doesn't end up at Florida.

It's not for free. It costs a spot for a rental. So imo it's more expensive than a hs recruit. For hs kids 1 spot gets you 4 years. For hurts a spot gets you 1 year.

If you’re talking about THIS BOARD? Yeah. The former staff never wavered and the current staff aggressively rerecruited him upon hire.

Since this is pure fantasy predicting transfers and such, I'm assuming jg has a way better year than hurts ever did. Which is possible at this point. And at that point I don't think he would win the starting job so we're renting a backup again. And acting like there's no cost is also shortsighted. I don't like losing spots on rentals for the most part. And we would, just like we did for chryst. So yeah. I'm perfectly fine with hypothetically only having those 3 talented QBs on our roster next year.

I don’t think Hurts has a decent year with Tennessee’s offense.

Jalen Hurts is a 6’2” 220lb elite level athlete. Runs 4.5, benches 400, squats 500, with a 10 ft broad jump.

He can run. He can pass. He can score.
Was the SEC Offensive Player of the Year.

Seems like he would be a pretty nice WEAPON to have at our disposal.

How hard is it to play QB at Bama right now? They put a true freshman in at halftime and throttled the SEC champion. Stop overrating Hurts when you’ll turn on him for not being able to pass(Dobbs looks like Peyton next to him passing). He’s not a good passer at all and won’t have what he had at Bama to mask his shortcomings. If it’s not an O-lineman, D-lineman or LB then leave it in T-town. Team will be fine without all of these transfers. Recruit and build this thing right.
