Like $400 a night in Auburn. We booked one about an hour away for about $100.
What town did you decide to stay in? Been thinking about going to my old stomping grounds but the town has turned bad the last few years. Wanted to show my son where I grew up.

We have not had a lot of guys transfer but we will. CJP is leaning on those he has recruited here and those he recruited and got to know at Alabama. Coaches tend to do that. He likes JT a lot. He won’t start this year but they think he has a future. If JG doesn’t play this year, he will transfer. It will be boom or bust for him as far as UT goes. I think a certain WR who I felt Butch should’ve started on D will be gone as well.

Coaches are working from 7 am till 11:30 at night so dedication is there. CJP is not really involved in the O. Helton is running that show. CJP is heavily involved in the D.

CJP is coaching and absolutely doesn’t care about being anyone’s buddy. I think he will rub a lot of people and is rubbing people the wrong way.

On the other hand, I think we have a good football coach who has a drive for excellence. He has to win and that is and should be his focus. I think he will but he’s never going to be personal like CPF. Just win and it will be alright

appreciate your insights

Many prospects are looking to make decisions before the heart of their senior seasons get going. Could Tennessee get some good news soon? Stay tuned.

Overall, Tennessee’s 2019 class is in a good spot heading into the fall. There will undoubtably be movement, but the staff is very comfortable with their evaluations and numbers moving forward. They’ve beaten out some conference foes for blue-chippers like Wanya Morris, Ramel Keyton and Warren Burrell. They identified Roman Harrison and Elijah Simmons — two guys who could blow up this fall. Now, it’s about filling their remaining needs and seeing if they can flip a prospect or two.

The Vols remain in pole position for 5-star Darnell Wright, and they continue to heavily recruit Jaydon Hill, Khris Bogle, Jalen Curry, Jaylen McCollough, Quavaris Crouch, Maurice Hampton, Charles Moore and others.

Speaking of Hill, he continues to be loved up by the Gators as Tennessee tries to reclaim momentum.

Ultimately, how the class looks in February will be influenced by what happens over the next few months this fall.

Ah, so you just don't understand the difference between "really good" and "generational.". Generational literally means once a generation.

Joe Mixon was a more productive college player than McCaffrey.
Generational may be debatable but McCaffrey was elite. One of the best college running of recent history and maybe the most versatile. The fact that you bring up Mixon shows how "knowledgeable" you are. His career stats barely compare to Mccaffrey's 2nd season. He only had 400 more career rushing yards than McCaffrey had in his second best season. Which was still better than mixon's best season by about 400 yards. And I haven't even brought up receiving or return yards. I honestly can't even figure out what stat you could possibly spin into Mixon being more productive unless yer talking about hitting women. Please educate me on yer logic here.

Baylen Buchanan and Alontae Taylor are the front-runners for the starting CB jobs, while Shawn Shamburger is the favorite to start at nickel. Down the road, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Shamburger (or freshman Trevon Flowers) push Micah Abernathy at safety, but the Vols are likely to lean on experience at safety against WVU’s prolific passing attack.

Elsewhere, the wait game continues for signee JJ Peterson and the confidence level on his arrival isn't going up. Rush Propst told Volquest earlier this week that the hope now is Peterson might arrive next week just before classes. We’ll see. School starts for Tennessee next Wednesday. Drop/add are the following two days. Peterson and Tennessee have remained in steady communication, but “next week” has kind of been the talk with Peterson for two months now. We should finally know one way or another soon, though. At this point, Peterson is more mythical figure than actual prospect. Maybe there will be a Big Foot or Lochness Monster sighting next week.

As for game day protocol, expect Tyson Helton to call the game from the box with Will Friend having a heavy hand on scheme from the field. On defense, Chris Rumph and Terry Fair are slated to be in the box while, Charles Kelly will be on the field to help with special teams and Kevin Sherrer will help signal the defense from the sidelines.

For the offense, it starts with whether or not they can protect the passer better in scrimmage No. 2. It appears unlikely that Chance Hall will scrimmage this week, as he has had several maintenance days on his knee this week and has been very limited and working off to the side during individual periods.

Now, does Drew Richmond mainly work at right tackle any in Saturday's scrimmage work? During individual periods the last two days, Richmond has worked solely on the right side. Trey Smith is out until Monday, though, so does Jamir Johnson, who has struggled adjusting this camp, get the bulk of reps at left tackle in his place? Do they work Marcus Tatum at left tackle or do they flip Drew Richmond back to left tackle for Saturday?

Bottom line for Tennessee’s offensive line is that competition and dynamics change come Monday, when Smith returns to contact work. Will it be tackle or guard? It appears to be tackle to start but that’s certainly not set in stone. As a unit, next week has been the targeted week to get somewhat settled on the offensive front to develop some continuity.

At running back, Pruitt has made it clear that it takes more than one tailback in this conference. Most of the talk to this point has been around Tim Jordan and Ty Chandler and both will play. But grad transfer Mondre London appears to have settled in with this offense and has been more impressive since the pads went on. Look for those three to be the biggest factors in the season opener in the run game.
