Really loving the promising reviews on both Tyler Byrd and Jordan Murphy.

I feel pretty confident that if MC and Jennings have respectable years, they'll head off to the NFL. Which means we'll need some receivers to step up and fill the void next year. By all accounts its sounding like TB and JM are progressing in that direction.

If McCaffrey is a generational talent then y'all need to clarify exactly which species you are thinking of. He looks to me to be the kind of player we see literally every single year in college football.

I said that we probably had more talent but the situation there was much better due to the coaching of Shaw and circumstances of the seasons in the respective programs. By the time JG started the team was already gone mentally. I brought up the talent because that was the question you asked and to point out that you were exaggerating their lack of talent. But let's take this point by point.

Are you really trying to say that John Kelly was better than Christian McCaffery? I don't even think I need to say anything here. That is a ridiculous statement. I love John Kelly and think he'll do well in the NFL. McCaffery was a generational talent. And I think Bryce Love had 2,000 yards last year. So I guess he's maybe a little above average.

That WR out produced every receiver on our roster. Do I think we have guys more talented, sure. But last year there was no JJ last year so you can't really count him. But yeah, we probably had more talent at WR. That wasn't really the point though. You asked ivens to name other guys with talent and I was helping him come up with some names. They had far more talent at TE than us though. Ethan Wolf was good here. He's not as good as Kaden.

As for the OL. How many games did that OL play together last year after South Carolina? I seem to remember Devante Brooks (who just moved from TE) and a couple of walk-ons playing quite a bit on the OL down the stretch.

I'm sure you can get KC's autograph after practice one day if you haven't already though. :p

I asked in the last post, but you didn't respond to that part. Can you at least admit that like I stated previously, his situation as a whole (talent + coaching + state of the program) was far better and easier to succeed in than what we had last year. If you were as unbiased as you claim to be than I wouldn't think that would be much of a reach.

Why do you keep going back to mccaffery? He wasn’t there in 2017 which is what we’re talking about. John kelly is a NFL RB. That’s all that you have to say. So no i don’t think there is that drastic of a talent drop off between love and kelly. Stanford is the most run commited team in the country and if JK or any other nfl caliber RB played there he would put up great numbers.

Also Don’t tell me that the team was checked out mentally by the time JG was starting when we were one play away on the goal line from beating South Carolina. We also played very well most of the game against LSU. If the we don’t muff two punts that game is a lot different.

Also what specifically makes Kaden so much better than Wolfe? Is it actual parts of his game or is it because Stanford has a good recent history of tight ends and are far more committed to getting them the ball?

Then let’s get To your point in Stanford’s OL because your direct quote was
” i brought up stars mostly to point out the offensive line protecting him (KC) was 1000% better than the one JG stood behind”

Yet the example i gave you like against South Carolina shows that JG in fact had a better OL (according to stars ,like you said ,it was 1000% worse than Stanford’s).

Now you are changing your town on their WRs changing it to production when it was first talent because you and everyone else knows that our WRs are in a different class than them.

Once again no one is arguing that Stanford isn’t better a better team or situation than us. But it’s not because of flat out “talent”. If KC was coming from Georgia, usc, bama, Ohio state etc then yes you can play that card.

I never said they were more talented. I said you exaggerate their lack of talent. You brought it up not me. I just responded giving examples that you asked for. I get you not wanting to include McCaffrey cause it hurts yer argument but don't mind when people want to exclude KCs 2017 stats because of injury and only reference how he played in 16 when McCaffrey was there. That is why I brought him up. I brought him up again because you said he wasn't better than john Kelly and I disagreed. I give you the wr, that's why I backed off that. Kaden is a better blocker and receiver than Ethan so he is a better te regardless of scheme. And will likely get drafted whereas Ethan may not make a team. Love john Kelly but still don't think he is better than love. The ol you gave didn't start together after that game and I still don't know how you can argue that our ol the last half of the season was even on the same planet as theirs. As far as the team being mentally checked out, there were other posters with connections to the team that said the team pretty much checked out after Florida and Georgia made it real bad. They did seem to play better against USC and LSU. Maybe switching to jg injected a little life in the team but it was just too late at that point. Just another theory.

I'm sure most of the board is sick of us debating this by now so I'll let it go. I just wanted you to admit that kc was in a far better situation to succeed than jg was cause you seemed reluctant to acknowledge it. 😁 You can keep claiming they have no talent if you want.

As a bucs fan, I really hope they get rid of winston and trade for bridgwater or Foles.
