Yeah, he absolutely has to figure out a way to hit his driver more consistently. If he does that and can keep the rest of his game at the level he has it, he is going to win multiple times over the next few years. What he found yesterday was the it factor that he used to have… Being able to score when he had nowhere near his best stuff, especially off the tee. That is why he was so fun to watch in his prime… He could win even when he did not have anything close to his best stuff. The it factor that he has is unmatched by anyone. Put almost any other player and all of the positions that he was in yesterday, and I would venture to guess that they do not break par. Some of these guys saying that he is a washed up has been have no clue what they watched yesterday. Yesterday is the reason the media hype him so much and the reason golf is where it is today...When he is healthy, he just does things that no one else can do on the golf course.
"Unmatched by anyone." You must have missed watching the final round of the British Open last year or the US Open this year. Players like Spieth and Koepka will not be denied when they have their best stuff. Tiger is not competing with the likes of Bob May, Chris DiMarco, Y E Yang, or a rookie Sergio Garcia in majors any more.
Tiger putted poorly for most of this year and won nothing. Is his putter really back, or was yesterday a fluke? Only time will tell.
