- Good to see Kahlil McKenzie getting 37 snaps against other players. When I zoned in on McKenzie during the game, it appeared his technique no doubt needs some work, but he looked like an absolute wall. Kudos to the Chiefs for starting the project and I’m eager to see where it goes.
Bama East...
Deja VuWhen I hear JG has put on 20 pounds of muscle, I just wonder what on earth he was doing with the weights in HS and obviously two years with Butch. Beginners can just look at the weights and gain that, but if you’ve been training remotely intelligently for a few years, that rate of gain is nowhere close to that, unless you have a huge frame.
Reminds me of when Bray declares for the draft and got huge in a couple of months
Thanks Butch

One of the things Ainge never got around to today was breaking down the number of plays for the touch list. I looked at Chandler, Fils-Aime, and Jordan in the Kentucky game and then took a swag at everything else. I'm pretty sure this is not an exact science just an idea of what you're shooting for to get your playmakers involved in the game. The rule is "Think Players, Not Plays." So what would you do? You have 70 plays to distribute among your playmakers. Do you think we should bump up Jennings and Callaway to 10 targets each? If so, who do we take those touches from?

Way too much focus on RB’s. Balance that out with JJ and Callaway over 10 each and TE’s up over 10 as well. Having said that, I’ll bet our number of plays go down quite a bit in the new system. One of the things Ainge never got around to today was breaking down the number of plays for the touch list. Some things you can’t see twice. Florida losses are in that list. Bama games... last year I didn’t even watch for the first time in forever.Just saw the 2001 SEC Championship game coming on and immediately turned the channel. It made me realize that I am still not over that game.
Who knows what happens if we win our 3rd SEC Championship in 5 yrs, and play for our 2nd National Championship in 4 yrs? Still the worst loss we've had in maybe the last 50 yrs, imo. I believe that was the night we caught some bad ju ju, that still infects us today. Phil and the other 3 couldn't ease the sting of that night, but I believe Pruitt finally gets us past itJust saw the 2001 SEC Championship game coming on and immediately turned the channel. We only averaged 61 plays a game last year. Too many sacks and too many 3 and outs. Throw in far too much rushing success by our opponents and you get games like lsu where we had (iirc) 9 offensive possessions, a ridiculously low number, not helped by Calloways fumbles in the return game. One of the things Ainge never got around to today was breaking down the number of plays for the touch list. Yeah that's over 300 touches for Chandler in a 13 game season. Since season stats include bowl stats now, the majority of stats you see from productive players are 13 game season stats...sometimes, like Derrick Henry's monster season, they are 15 game seasons....all of which muddies the water for comparative analysis.Way too much focus on RB’s. She's avg'd 25.5 wins a season; but, her last 3 seasons have been worse than her first 3, where she won more each yr. I get it, I do. Maybe Phil will light a fire under her with this extension. She's has as much talent there now, and coming in, as anyone, so...Final Four next two yrs, or she's got to go.
