I've seen BBQ goat and goat stew on a menu. I hesitate to ask... but how does it taste?

It has its own unique flavor. An acquired taste, especially the stew - made from the grease of the cooked meat. Birria is the style to try, on authentic Mexican menus. Eat goat and lamb regularly. Goat with my Mexican in-laws, lamb with the Greek side of my family. Goat is not as "gamey" as lamb; but, that could be the preparation and spices more than the organic flavor of the meat. We typically eat our lamb rare. I highly recommend both, and don't give up after the first try.

Well... sh!t lol. I guess it's part of it though just gotta remind myself I'm making memories and doing something my dad would never do with me. I do have a buddy with a corporate lodging card I might be able to get some kind of savings. Appreciate all the help brother when I get off work I'm gonna do some more investigating.

just did a quick check on the two sites i use for hotels, and in/around Knoxville, the cheapes i saw was around $250/night. down town hotels were all over $450, and most were sold out....hopefully you have some hotel points or a corporate ID you can use or something!!! it gets more reasonable the further out you go, but nothing less than $120/night, even 20 mi away....

There are dozens of rooms for under $100. jake, I don't know where you were looking, but I just did a quick check via Travelocity and stopped scanning the list after 30 or 40. Just quickly scanning, at least one was a 3-star and many had customer rating average of at least 3.5 out of 5. Good enough for me. I guess it all depends on what typed of lodging you're ok with.

I don't think they knew how to train. That was supposedly a big reason why Pruitt and Richt butted heads. When Kirby got there I think he and that staff brought a toughness that wasn't there with Richt's crew. I actually think Pruitt played a role however in at least setting that kind of foundation for Kirby and company to build upon. At least on the defensive side of the ball.

Georgia was very good for basically all of richts tenure and they always put a lot of quality players into the nfl. So to say they didn’t know how to train to me is just crazy.

Super 8 on Merchants used to be reasonable on gameday and had a shuttle. The rooms are decent especially on the first floor, not a lot of amenities, but they do have a waffle maker for breakfast. Bwaa-ha-ha. I stayed there for the Oklahoma game in '16, but had to go straight to bed when I got back to the hotel after the game. Mainly because the OK fans were way too happy and I was way too mad, drunk, depressed and I might have done something I would have regretted.

Goat is great as a Caribbean curry. It’s a lot like mutton, as an Indian curry.

If you don’t like goat cheese you may not like goat meat

I ended up getting one for 120 off of I75 probably 10 miles away so I can deal with that I guess lol

When I hear JG has put on 20 pounds of muscle, I just wonder what on earth he was doing with the weights in HS and obviously two years with Butch. Beginners can just look at the weights and gain that, but if you’ve been training remotely intelligently for a few years, that rate of gain is nowhere close to that, unless you have a huge frame.

Reminds me of when Bray declares for the draft and got huge in a couple of months

Thanks Butch

Not really interested in Lady Vol talk, well not at all to be honest, but does Fulmer giving HW an extension say much to you guys??

I tend to think it means he is going to be very pro-coach and won't be willing to put much pressure on coaches but wanted to see if others thought the extension was any kind of big picture thing.

I think due to HIS personal experience, he’s going to give her an honest chance on his watch. I don’t feel he’ll be afraid to use the hook if it’s needed.
