Not really interested in Lady Vol talk, well not at all to be honest, but does Fulmer giving HW an extension say much to you guys??
I tend to think it means he is going to be very pro-coach and won't be willing to put much pressure on coaches but wanted to see if others thought the extension was any kind of big picture thing.
I haven't read the reports but do you know if the new contract had any language in it to save $ on a buyout?I think it’s partly for recruiting here. Phil hasn’t had adequate time to really evaluate her and I’m guessing this extension puts her out so that the girls she’s recruiting now will graduate by the time the contract extension runs out.
Seems to be a little bit of the new standard in coaching contracts which is great for college coaches.

Imo that was needed in this case. Maybe a best of both worlds thing
I understand people wanting CHW gone; but, damn! Who in their right mind would want to follow who she had to, you know; almost impossible pressure. Unless we can get Dawn Staley, or that dude from Miss St, I'm cool with giving Holly a couple of more yrs under Phil. But, she has to get us to the Final Four in these next couple of yrs. Whatcha think, B?I think due to HIS personal experience, he’s going to give her an honest chance on his watch. I don’t feel he’ll be afraid to use the hook if it’s needed.
I honestly have no clue. I’m not even sure if my thought has any validity as I’m not sure how many years she had left on her contract or how many were added.
Would be a savvy move by Phil if he could reduce a potential buyout, although might be tough to get her to sign an extension where she agrees to that.
Berry also had 2 KO returns for, I think, 50+ yds. Pretty good debut.
That or markedly better performance. She has a blank slate, but she better fill it up.I understand people wanting CHW gone; but, damn! Why EB didn’t get any touches on offense baffles me. Should have gotten some every game, he was obviously extremely dangerous for a defense with the ball in his hands. Always a chance he would take it for 6. So stupid, so very stupid.
She's never improved though. Every year is worse than the year before. I don't think she's ever done better than the year before.I understand people wanting CHW gone; but, damn! She's avg'd 25.5 wins a season; but, her last 3 seasons have been worse than her first 3, where she won more each yr. I get it, I do. Maybe Phil will light a fire under her with this extension. She's has as much talent there now, and coming in, as anyone, so...Final Four next two yrs, or she's got to go.She's never improved though. Every year is worse than the year before. High on my list. Up there with underused Alvin, and no QB coach for what, 3 seasons. I could go on and on and...Why EB didn’t get any touches on offense baffles me. I meant from a championship standpoint. That's why UGA brought Pruitt in, to help implement the FSU and Bama way of doing things in practice, strength and conditioning, etc. Pruitt had been on 4 of the previous 5 national championship staffs, and UGA wanted a piece of that action too. Pruitt helped lay a foundation, Kirby built upon it IMO.Georg
Georgia was very good for basically all of richts tenure and they always put a lot of quality players into the nfl. So to say they didn’t know how to train to me is just crazy.
