Taos is really cool place, but I'm not sure I'd want to live there. Great food though.
I always loved going over there to the Sangre de Christos, especially in the Fall to see the aspens, and also in the summer to escape the insane heat of the Llano Estacado. It could be in the 100s at home, and high 60s up in the mountains. I could live in Santa Fe, but Taos is just a cool place to visit.

I never really thought of that..That is an intriguing thought. I know we were brought up to see him as this always serious, stern, sort of dour being, but as I've gotten older I am starting to believe he is also merry, and loving. I could see him laughing at a good joke or funny situation. We can not comprehend his omniscience any more than we can truly understand his creation. I look forward to having eternity to learn though 😁 Sorry for the OT guys, I'm sure a mod will move it.
Sarge. Clean up aisle 3.

Hahaha jk. I couldn't even type it with a straight face. :D

My expectations for this year are to make a bowl game, compete in every game outside of maybe UGA and Bama, and land a top ten class. In year two, I'll be expecting no less than 9 regular season wins. That out of conference schedule is sauce, should beat Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Missouri and South Carolina. I think we draw Mississippi State from the west next year as well.

I don’t think Georgia is going to be THAT good this year. I think they lose @lsu, Auburn, and maybe one more. They lost a ton of elite level production

Yeah but they're replacing that production with elite level talent, that's most likely been coached up. I'm not high on LSU at all. Think Orgeron is a buffoon. I have UGA sailing through the east, finishing 11-1, and going toe to toe with Bama in the title game.

A buddy of mine (we were both country kids working in Nashville) brought bbq goat for lunch one day. Caused quite the ruckus. Brought squirrel another day. Spit out a “piece of shot” on the table. People didn’t know what to think.

I've seen BBQ goat and goat stew on a menu. I hesitate to ask... but how does it taste?

I've eaten camel and kangaroo before... cant really judge someone who ate goat.

Not Laagar, but have some experience with it. That was a fraternity staple of ours during football season back in the day. Closest thing to it from my perspective was more fatty cuts of smoked lamb. Reasonably good flavor of meat, not as good as pork IMO.

Not sure I could eat goat, camel or kangaroo. One of our dogs would be willing to supply us with squirrels and rabbits, though, should we ever acquire the taste.

If you ever get a chance, give one to Sadie’s. One of the best places I’ve ever eaten. My stepdaughter took a roadtrip with her boyfriend’s mom and sister which went through Albuquerque and wanted a dining recommendation...immediately said Sadie’s and they loved it enough to hit it again on the way back to DFW. Dream about their carne adovada with that NM red chile. I worked at the VA. I heard when they closed the base that facility went to seed with the inferior workforce.
When were you there? The base hasn't closed (I retired out of there in 13).

Ok guys I'm going to my first game ever for the Florida game I'm also taking my son since his birthday is the day after. I have no clue about the stadium layout or parking or any of that. Should I buy a parking pass or should I try to get an uber from my hotel and back when I'm done?

took my familly 2 years ago to the fl game, and we stayed at a hotel down town and just walked. last year we ubered it from the hotel to the stadium. really just depends on where you're staying, but even some of the hotels in west knoxville do shuttles to the stadium on game day.

as for tail gaiting....prolly need to know someone, but if you're on campus and your son is on the younger side, Vol Village in front of the humanities building is very kid friendly.

if you're in to more adult scene, there's still some places on the strip, though i wouldn't recommend it, just not the same. Market square has some good spots and up and down Gay street are plenty of places to eat/drink etc....
