Murray And Pollack

From my understanding the boosters and AD were tired of Richt. I’ve heard speculation that Pruitt was brought in and given power to essentially force Richt out, but who knows. I’m definitely not the most “connected” guy when it comes to UGA, I just feel like if the teabag incident did happen you wouldn’t have to be connected to hear about it since the media lives for stories like that.

From everything being told on the fiasco it sure seems like he was brought in to get rid of CMR.

As far as Zippy stating that he doesn't feel like this whole thing was to smear CJP. What else do you call it? Murray and Brokeneck both knew what they were doing.

Fans are blindly loyal, as evidenced in this thread. The reaction is textbook. Pruitt is a victim of evil UGA schemes.
I wanted Smart to retain Pruitt. He's damn good. His players loved him.

Why else would Murray and Brokeneck come out with their statements at the media days if they were not looking for a negative reaction towards CJP? Honestly for me the hire was lack luster. I mean he seems like he may know football which is more than I can say for CBJ.

Were they asked questions, or did they volunteer?

lol I'm also a UGA fan and I've literally never heard anything remotely close to that at all. I would hope you wouldn't believe something as out there as that. The general agreed upon story is that Pruitt showed up to Richt's house one night yelling about how bad Brian Schottenheimer was. No one will ever probably know the entire story, but I really hope you don't believe a grown man "teabagged" another grown man. The AD hired Pruitt under the pretense of him bringing his hard nose style of coaching to UGA. It shouldn't surprise anyone that a young fired up coach couldn't get along with vanilla Richt. I appreciate what Richt did for UGA, but anyone could see he lost his fire. When a team underachieves long enough you can't keep blaming everyone BUT the coach.

There's another story out there where he tried a Harvey Updike on the hedges and had plans to kill Uga.

Oh the stories...

To be fair, this is a UT board so you have to expect a UT point of view. I wouldn’t categorize fans here as being blindly loyal simply because they are going with their coach’s side of the story. Murray and Pollack made their statements to defend their coach and this thread is UT fans doing the same. The biggest reason why this is getting attention is because it’s the off-season.

1st pot/kettle

2nd Pruitt a victim? Lol
He got your team the indoor facilities and the coaching change you needed. Things your AD wasn't accomplishing in a timely manner. You should be thanking him.

Victim, nah, exactly what we need. As for Murray's opinion, no effect. Heck, I barely remember Murray,hs kids definitely don't care what he has to say.
Don't even know what a Pollack is.

Our smear campaign? Come on now. What Murray and Pollack said are nothing. One story is that Pruitt tea bagged Richt when he was asleep on the office sofa. Reported by a coach.
Another is that the staff had to stop Thomas Brown from kicking Pruitt's ass at practice. This one is true without a doubt.
Look, I have nothing against Pruitt, he was a good DC.
Maybe he will be a good HC.
That he was insubordinate is a fact. That's all Murray and Pollack said.

It happened 3 years ago,why bring it up during SEC media week?

Gotta admit.. don't know who Murray or Pollack is. And I don't like the Finebaum show much. During the Schiano affair his guest were all bandwagoners and barely had any facts straight so I stopped watching.

But it's good to see him stick up for Pruitt I guess..

Anyway, in the grand scheme.. none of this really matters. People get worked up over it, and it doesn't really matter. It really shouldn't effect your daily life.

Pruitt will succeed, be mediocre, or fail and we'll have a fit and move on.

Anyways, thanks to the GA fans for being objective. I'm personally glad there are is a good mix running around here.

And I gotta admit.. the rumor of Pruitt teabagging someone kinda made me laugh. I would never believe it unless it broke as a scandal, but stillman. The idea was funny.
