A) Yes. I cherry picked the seasons that Tennessee had at least an average team. That was my point. Tennessee beats Georgia unless they are really bad.
B) Alabama was awful in 2004. They finished 6-6. Georgia had an easier schedule by not playing them. You are simply wrong about 2015. Georgia did play Alabama in 2015 and lost 38-10 at home.
So your logic is that every close loss is a choke? Not sure I buy that train of thought. UGA wasnt supposed to win the natty last year, let alone the SEC, so I wouldnt really consider losing in OT by 3 a choke. I mean bama was up on Clemson the same amount the year before going into the fourth quarter, did they choke? Does Kirby get credit for the half time adjustments against OU, or did OU just choke? I can understand disagreeing with Murray, but not really sure Id buy that Kirby chokes games away, especially after the season he just had. Richt was/is a choker, so far Id say Kirby hasnt.
Several questionable coaching decisions led to those losses. UGA has lost more than four games. He made some bad decisions year before last against Vandy. Smart still has some things to prove as a game day coach. The loss to UT and Jones the year before last was very poor in how they handled the end. They shouldve beat Bama but stopped giving the ball to Sony. Georgia had a lot of experience talent and enjoyed few injuries and had a great season but Kirby is not the best game day coach from why I have seen. He is a great recruiter. Georgia is doing some crazy things in that area right now and I am not talking about their final rankings.
Georgia should be embarrassed most of all that they are 22-23-2 all time against Tennessee, and they've been able to get back to nearly .500 only because Tennessee has had the worst run as a program in its history over about the last 10 years.
UGA has two big natural advantages over UT - location and recruiting, and they are very comparable to Tennessee in other areas like tradition, facilities, fanbase, and resources that the admin and boosters are willing to commit.
UGA should be the most dominant program in the history of the SEC. Look at everything Alabama has achieved in their history...that basically should be Georgia. The best coach in the history of their school is...Vince Dooley? If you showed me the location/recruiting, tradition, facilities, fans, resources, etc. of all the SEC schools and then asked me to guess which program had been the most successful over the last 50 years, I'd say Georgia before Alabama or Tennessee, yet Alabama and Tennessee have had more success as programs over that time than Georgia.
Their athletic program as a whole is a story of underachievement. They are good, but should be better at football, and I'm scratching my head as to why they aren't better at basketball and baseball, purely because of the proximity to Atlanta. There's no reason why they can't be a much better basketball program, and they should have a LSU, Florida, or Vanderbilt-like baseball program that is always good.
Meh, they haven't been comparable to Tennessee at all in tradition or facilities (until recently). The corruption that an English Professor named Jan Kemp uncovered in 1982 (at the all time height of their success) set them back at least 15 years and stained the reputation of not just their athletic department but also their school.
Your line that they should be embarrassed to have a 22-23-2 record vs Tennessee is absurd.
Georgia should have a more Alabama-like record against Tennessee historically. Seriously. There really isn't any particular reason why Tennessee should be a dominant football program other than the fact that we are in a region of the country where it is very popular and the admin wants it to be, so a lot of resources have been dedicated to it.
Relative to other "big time" jobs, it is more difficult to recruit to Tennessee than a lot of other schools because of the location/demographics. We don't have a setup that is tailor made for success, so to speak. Tennessee has to recruit regionally/nationally and go above and beyond in things like facilities. Georgia does not, yet we're still more successful than they have been over the years.
Of course, I'm sure Murray doesn't want to win all the battles, just content with the success so far.😌
I don't think UGA needs much help in recruiting.
Then why all the negative talk about CJP? It's funny the man hasn't even coached against you other than the NCG you LOST, but your smear campaign is in full force. Feeling the heat?
Now totally just my opinion and I could be way off but with CPF as AD, better hope he doesn't try to dig into UGA's recruiting practices. I'd offer this, cross every T and dot every I....... Something smells fishy in Athens other than the stink of the entire venue. Something is very wrong when grown men (or supposed to be) bark in the faces of opposing fans.

Our smear campaign? Come on now. What Murray and Pollack said are nothing. One story is that Pruitt tea bagged Richt when he was asleep on the office sofa. Reported by a coach.
Another is that the staff had to stop Thomas Brown from kicking Pruitt's ass at practice. This one is true without a doubt.
Look, I have nothing against Pruitt, he was a good DC.
Maybe he will be a good HC.
That he was insubordinate is a fact. That's all Murray and Pollack said.
lol I'm also a UGA fan and I've literally never heard anything remotely close to that at all. I would hope you wouldn't believe something as out there as that. The general agreed upon story is that Pruitt showed up to Richt's house one night yelling about how bad Brian Schottenheimer was. No one will ever probably know the entire story, but I really hope you don't believe a grown man "teabagged" another grown man. The AD hired Pruitt under the pretense of him bringing his hard nose style of coaching to UGA. It shouldn't surprise anyone that a young fired up coach couldn't get along with vanilla Richt. I appreciate what Richt did for UGA, but anyone could see he lost his fire. When a team underachieves long enough you can't keep blaming everyone BUT the coach.

I said this in another thread but the feeling from all the reports seem like they brought Pruitt in as possibly the HC in waiting. Or maybe thats just the impression he was given. Seems like the AD gave him a lot of power and the boosters didn't like his full throttle approach.
Who knows he may not be the guy for UT. Although thus far I like his approach. Seems like a no nonsense guy. You either wanna put 100% effort and be here or you don't. He is not going to beg you to do it.
In Albany, Georgia, I once saw a grown man get teabagged by a weimaraner on a lost bet. That person works in an FBS athletic department. Alcohol was involved, but still...
