Lol. The president is only the tip of the iceberg. Congress is so bought and paid for it's criminal. I don't believe our founding fathers meant for politicians to make a career out of "serving". They make too much money, have too many perks, and too many benefits both while in office and after they leave. The word "serve" has at least a small connotation of sacrifice. These jokers don't sacrifice at all. If we could somehow hit the reset button and start all over, I'd be for it.

I agree with this. Wonder what it would take to change it. So many fat cats in power doing nothing but collecting checks

Absolutely.
I think you know that I used to be a strategist and I know this thread will become uncivil shortly but 1 guarantee before I go.
The way the system works, if you won the election, any major election, then you've already sold your morals. It's just impossible to get the support needed without doing so.

I don't think it will become uncivil. Most recognize it's broken.

It's only getting worse.
Not saying that any president won't have success in areas but the United States choosing between an already should have been convicted, criminal or a sexist, Twitter addicted, reality TV star for it's president, is unthinkable.

Our nation is barely over 200 years old and we've reached comic book level status for elections. Between the broken system and tow the party line-decision you have to make for the finale, I just can't see how it's going to get better.

Screw this, I'm going back over to celebrate good recruiting. 😂

The hard partisan lines caused the past election.

But politics is a funny thing. It takes rational people like you and I and turns them into irrational thinkers with one objective: keep getting elected. It will never change.

This is so true and I realized it and got in too deep when I wanted a career in politics. After working in an election, I ran very fast to get away from it as a career. First wasn’t bad but it was for an incumbent. You know his first name as Newt. The next one I work was for a challenger for a house seat. That was the last one for me. My friend is still in it and a lobbiest in DC and has worked for Presidents but still glad I choose a different path.

If we did decide that a move was in order, I would definitely get back in touch with Clay, UT’s creative director. He said he would have hired me if I lived in Knoxville, a while back, so if the money was right, that would obviously be the preferred destination.

I think i speak for everyone in saying that your work is fantastic.
Glad you're a Vol fan...

With that said, TAKE THE OREGON job! For some reason...every person I know that has roots in the south, and then ends up out west...just blossoms!

You already have a "product". Creative designers out here are some of the best. You would grow even more i would think... Oregon's facilities are 2nd to none and that is because of a beautiful collaboration of various creative thinkers.

But I would call back that Clay guy still at UT. Because part of your "skill" is your affinity for everything Vol 👍. Can't undervalue that variable.

But I would go with Oregon.
Nice people in Eugene. Not southern nice or Canada nice lol. But nice and the scenery is amazing out there.

Oh and Wlihoute can go out there too haha 😎.
We need more speedsters at WR this cycle...

I was young and naive. Sat in meetings and a behind a computer viewing it all as a game. Senators/congressmen would take their shots in public and then go have a drink together.
That changed.

This many years later, I still hear people or read posters in our own PF, qoute talking points that I at least sat in on or contributed to.

Posters calling each other names and ready to fight over concepts we pulled out of our a**es. WE MADE IT UP.
I'll never forget the moment I realized people were....
I'm just filled with shame that I ever contributed anything to that cesspool.

On Campus today. Why do I need to be here for two days for freshman orientation for my son? I mean, he's going to school here. 😠

For Tennessee Volunteers good times... :hi:

Too much fru fru.

I echo your sentiments. Not that it makes any difference to me, but I can just about guarantee you most people who can't stand me on here would like me in real life lol. Is what it is.

I think most people who dislike me on here and/or in person are idiots.

Am I doing this right??

I literally said it on one day. The only reason it was “over and over again” is because people questioned me on it. This is an example of the fake narratives and exaggeration that happens on this board. I’m happy we have Maurer. I’m also now confident coach will flip Tag. Let it go

One time is enough. Did you backtrack after or retract your opinion before we got a commit? If not, perception is reality.

Didn't you say you like to drop deuces in public toilets, not flush, then hang around to watch the reaction of the next person? If true, then I can't see much difference between your online and offline personalities.

If you ever want to back another Newt, I will run on a libertarian ticket and we will bust this game!
