The only problem for cash poor extreme pain sufferers like me is that the cost is prohibitive...so I'm going to have to pick and choose which days to feel pretty good.

I had a good weekend though, I took this past weekend off and we went to G-Burg and walked for hours both days, not only was I able to stay on my feet for vastly extended periods of time compared to normal, but today where I would normally be laid up after doing so much, I actually feel pretty good, especially considering the weather which normally plays havoc with my condition..whatever this stuff costs it is worth it.

I can't wait to see how much this improves my hiking and outdoors activities. 😁

Yay!!!

I just got offered a full-time gig at Oregon, and in doing my research about the city, school, real estate, ect, I get it. Nike dumps ungodly amounts of money in Oregon athletics, and it shows. I can totally understand why that'd be exciting to a kid. It feels decidedly un-SEC, but that's not important to everyone, i suppose.

Congrats on the gig. :hi:

Are you going to take it? What position?

Take it. Like yesterday. My alma mater. You will love it. Hour from the beach with the Cascade mountain in between. Eugene is a good sized town but not too big.

Thanks! Not sure yet. I'm getting married in September so I'm in Louisiana until then at least. We'll reevaluate if we're ready to leave Louisiana then. It'd be on their recruiting services staff.

Definitely something you need to discuss with your future wife. If you decide to take it we will.miss your work for the good guys

Did you watch the latest "When Sharks Attack" on NatGeo? Sharks will eat you there.

That's exciting brother, congratulations on the proposition and more importantly the marriage! You probably already understand this but can't stress enough how liberal the culture is up there. With that being said, I'm sure you won't have trouble finding some woods or a holler to hide in. :)

The culture only bothers you if you let it.

Ha, I actually lean left, so that’s pretty much how I feel here in Baton Rouge. But, I’m into live and let live, so I don’t have problems hanging with folks who don’t agree with me politically. It’s why I love this forum. Thank you for all the well wishes!

Oregon's a cool campus-- especially for sports. It's a quiet area, but really nice, and Eugene isn't too far from the coast. The climate in the Pacific Northwest is very different from the South-- some love it; some don't.

There are all kinds of people on the West Coast, just like there are in the South, so I wouldn't get too caught up in stereotypes. I see SEC fans everywhere in LA.

If we did decide that a move was in order, I would definitely get back in touch with Clay, UT’s creative director. He said he would have hired me if I lived in Knoxville, a while back, so if the money was right, that would obviously be the preferred destination.

I used to tour pretty extensively with a band in the PNW and do love the terrain. I’m not real big on cold weather, but even BR is getting a few snow days a year now. Lots of love for the folks I met up there, tho!

It's the global warming, isn't it?

Eugene is so close to the coast it rarely snows.

R u getting married to a Tennessee girl? Beginning to wonder if I know you. That is if you are getting married on the day of the West Virginia game.

ha, no sir. getting married the UTEP weekend. had to secretly triangulate the venues available dates with LSU's home schedule (can't do anything in BR on home games) and UT's out of conference schedule haha. UTEP was the compromise.

Any bass anglers on VN? I’m from Carthage originally, so the Cumberland river is home, but I live in South Mississippi now and I am hunting a spot down here to bait a hook. Not wanting to do the offshore/saltwater stuff. I like pond hogs.

Massive Supreme Court news today.

I for one am very far from a trump supporter because of his decisiveness but he has a chance to make his mark on his country for the better in a massive way now.

Nobody cares on here. Once a narrative is put out there by some poster you’ve offended, whether the narrative is fake or not, it sticks and you become a quitter, or in my case someone who panics. It’s dumb.

That phenomenon is not exclusive to this message board. Have you ever been to high school or had a group of friends? People get labeled for their extreme actions. It is what it is.
