I've tried a number of different blends. We have a regular drip coffee maker at my office and I'm enjoying the Maxwell House better than anything at home. As a result, I'm casting the blame towards the Keurig.

We tossed ours. Had it for a while them it started tasting bad. That and my consumption went through the roof thanks to a couple of large insulated steel cups. I mean when it takes 3 or 4 k cups to get close to filling my "mug, it's time to make a pot. Plus it never seemed got enough.

My personal opinion is that you cannot get the internal water lines clean after you use it a while, which is what causes the weird taste.

Edit: had my first French press cup of coffee the other day at work. It was very smooth and good flavor.

Our Keurig...the 2nd one we've had...isn't that old, though. Plus, my complaints are the same when I visit our daughters' houses and I have a cup there. Same disappointing taste.

The French press sounds good...but I can't see myself doing that at 4:30 or 5 in the morning.

I think with Keurigs you have to go dark roast or its gonna suck.

Haha!! I told my wife this morning I think we're going back to a drip machine. She said that would be fine once we finished the 675 K-cups I have stacked in the pantry.

Good old fashioned Maxwell House master blend from my drip coffee maker for us...I will drink other coffee when i have too, but at home this is the go to...I just drink to much coffee to Keurig. Also I just love Maxwell house coffee.

Good deal man that makes me happy!

The only problem for cash poor extreme pain sufferers like me is that the cost is prohibitive...so I'm going to have to pick and choose which days to feel pretty good.

I had a good weekend though, I took this past weekend off and we went to G-Burg and walked for hours both days, not only was I able to stay on my feet for vastly extended periods of time compared to normal, but today where I would normally be laid up after doing so much, I actually feel pretty good, especially considering the weather which normally plays havoc with my condition..whatever this stuff costs it is worth it.

I can't wait to see how much this improves my hiking and outdoors activities. 😁

Yep. French press every morning with some whole cream. I still haven't added the butter yet. I'll probably give it a shot pretty soon.

I'm going to try the dash or pinch of salt tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I'm giving butter a shot. If that fails as well, has anyone tried catsup or bbq sauce?

Light to medium. It shouldn't take much to satisfy me but it's been quite some time since I've enjoyed my morning coffee.

I can't help you. You might as well drink a nice hot mug of water. :)

I'm more a dark roast person -- I like my coffee strong, bold, dark, and independent.

I get old San Francisco french roast from amazon, 80 count for like 30 bucks. Good solid coffee.

I've been thinking about trying that brand. I've been hooked on Kroger's Private Selection brand Guatemalan Dark Roast. I know it's a store brand, but the flavor is awesome -- and it's fairly cheap! Regular price is $5.99 for 12, but they sometimes run a BOGO special from time to time.

I do. They recommend building into it. I went all in.

Yeah..me too. I was already doing butter in my coffee. I have lost five pounds since thursday of last week. I tend to plateau when I keto, I will lose 3-6 pounds in a week, and the very little for a week and then 3-6 again.

French press coffee is second to none. Downside is the time it takes to make. My weapon of choice most times is an electric percolator. Old school and tastes consistent. Also gets the coffee scalding hot, which I prefer so I can drink it slower.

Buy a coffee maker that grinds the beans right before it brews the coffee. You will never want anything else.
Family gave me one for Fathers Day years ago. It completely changed my coffee taste. Even cheap whole bean tastes great!
I just buy Costco whole bean. Mine allows you to chose 4-6-8-10 or 12 cups...perfect every day.
