Baker Mayfield was a walk on. How'd that turn out? Carson Wentz played in Missouri Valley Football Conference and now he's transitioned to the pros just fine. Tony Romo played for Eastern Illinois and went undrafted. His career turned out great. Point is just because he isn't being recruited by all the P5 teams doesn't mean he won't be good. Yes his stats don't pop off the charts but some have said he does not play on a very good team. To many variables o just write him off.

QBs are 90% development and mental awareness. Recruiting services are not built to measure either.

Helton knows QBs. Still working on Taulia. We are playing with house money now.

... except this guy WAS recruited by more than a few P5 teams...

Ohio State, Texas A&M, NC State, West Virginia, Pittsburg, UCF, USF... etc... all teams that were ranked last year... and there's other P5 offers... Chief's just being Chief and making his own narrative

Yeah, he conveniently left A&M and Ohio State off the list. The coaches of those schools kind of know what good QB play looks like. But carry on Chief, it’s all about you.

Say what you want about Kiffin, but he can coach QB's as good as anyone.

Nothing about his posts is driven by emotion. They are all staged to get the maximum rise out of people. What he doesn't see is that he is just embarrassing himself. It's sad, really.

Looks like he has a little Carson Wentz in him. Not as big or arm strength-wise but the way he moves around in and out of the pocket and looks down field, plus with enough arm strength to make the off balance and/or across the body throws. Of course, a lot of those passes get picked off in the SEC, but he has mad potential and with the coaching, I believe UT has now, could flourish, in a couple of years.

Btw, I love that Bogle tweeted about the Maurer commit. I think UT Adds Bogle, Curry, Wright and Crouch to this class. Of course, I'm an eternal optimist. If I'm right, it will be a Top 5 class

Spots are getting snapped up. Lot of teams want their QB in place before the end of Summer.
