Josh Dobbs (merged)

He’s an nfl scout/talent evaluator, not an NBA analyst! 😂

Dobbs in Canada makes more sense than either one of those scenarios.

Bull:crap2:

Its sad some of you still are hating on a player that actually produced but pump up a bunch of players that never have or will.

I think he will be a Tyrod Taylor type starter one day. If not he is definitely good enough to be a NFL backup.

You look at it as hating, most people look at it as being realistic and seeing what his skillset is and how it would and how it is translating to the NFL. It's nothing personal, the guy is a role model and we should be proud of him, but that doesn't make him a NFL quarterback. The argument from you and a few is that if anyone is honest about Dobbs and how they see his talent in the NFL, then they just hating for no reason. Grow up

This. It's getting old.

Not to mention at least one of you two crap on players that ARE CURRENTLY producing (i.e. Bosa, Goff, etc.), yet claim we hate on a guy that hasn't done anything yet, all because they think they're going to be a HOFer.

Wahhhhh! :cray:

I wish Dobbs all the success he can find, you fan boys think he's magically going to transform himself into an NFL quarterback, something he will never be. At best he will be a backup for 4-5 years then get punted. But thanks for your input, useless as it was. :good!:

He is an NFL qb. He is in the NFL.:crazy::crazy::crazy:

Just like you said he wasn't a qb but a runningback or athlete, or not an "SEC" qb. Then you said he wasn't going to be drafted. Then you said Dormady had better passing talent and an NFL arm.

You have been hating on him. And been wrong
every time.

Did you not say these things? Am I confusing you with someone else.

Who tf is you two? I post under one account. I don't have anything to do with what anyone else says so this is just stupid.

What have I said about those players and when?

He is an NFL qb once again. Or did you miss where he was drafted and on the Steelers roster?:crazy::crazy::crazy:

He may stay a backup. That means he is a NFL qb. There are tons of NFL qbs that aren't starters.

He can be a starter though. He is a better passer than several qbs that have started. He is better than Peterman who started a game and probably never will again. He is just as good as a Ryan Fitzpatrick/ Josh McCown/Trevor Simiean/ Blain Gabbert level starter. He can be a Tyrod Taylor type starter after a couple of years like Taylor took.

So maybe you mean he will never be a Pro Bowl qb or top starter? He is already a NFL qb. :good!:

And like your twin brother D4H, I'll ask the same questions:

1. What have you seen that makes you think he has the passing skillset to be an NFL starter over the guys you mentioned? And don't say just because he is on a roster because all of those guys are too. I am not hating on him and contrary to the D4H opinion, just because people point out Dobbs' limitations doesn't mean they are either.

2. What in your background would give anyone of us reason to believe you would know how good of a passer Dobbs is? I mean, I used to play the position at least and I have friends who coach it now. So where are you at in this?

Again, not hating, just trying to where the disconnect is.

I literally never said either 8f those. The only thing close would be before his senior season was that we would need to improve with his accuracy if he has a shot at being drafted.

Better in college. Drafted higher. Better skills. None of them started their first year or two. He can be as good or better.

What does d4h have to do with me? Several people supported Dobbs. That everyone didn't is the problem.

My bad if wrong. I could have sworn you kept saying he wasn't really a qb or a SEC qb.

Ooook, Jamarcus Russell must still be a future stud then I guess. You said he WAS better not COULD BE yet draft position is HARDLY a determining factor of how good one WILL be. But of the QBs you mentioned, two have had teams trade to get them, three have signed BIG contracts at some point and the other has been Blain Gabbert. But Dobbs after one year saw his team make a move for a QB in a round earlier than he was drafted just the year before so they drafted over him.

Now as for D4H, you get lumped in with him because you are going for the same argument he does on this ... AND .. you still didn't answer question number 2 .. just like he avoids. Next I guess you will tell us his veins popping in his forearms is clearly a sign that Dobbs is "shredded" right?

Worley, Fergie, Dormady, Shrout.

Fitzpatrick does not have as much talent as Dobbs. Neither does Siemian maybe. Gabbert no. If they can start in the NFL. Dobbs can if he gets the chance.

He is an NFL qb with more talent than qbs who have started many games. If that is not your opinion fine.

He is a NFL qb though which is what the debate was. I responded to the people saying he should be in Canada. Obviously NFL guys don't think that.

How are we making the same argument?

Saying he is an NFL qb, which he is, that can be a backup or maybe a decent starter with a few years of coaching is not the same as saying he will be a Hall of Famer and one of the best qbs in the NFL.

Might be taking the statements a bit out of context but come on now. The guys you are naming have taken regular season snaps. And maybe they didn't get to in their first season but they didn't have a team draft a QB the very next year after they got there either. But as a passing QB, I am still wondering why you think Dobbs has more talent than those guys and YES, you need to be a talented passing QB to play in the league. Now saying he is an NFL QB just because he is on a roster, I mean, hey, teams take a flyer on guys all the time and sometimes it works, and sometimes you draft someone else the next season. Dobbs decision making and reading defense were never great in college and his mechanics always seemed like a work in progress. If he switched to WR and learned to run routes, he would already be hitting the field because he has athleticism enough to go hard, fast and make guys miss. But QBs sometimes can't let that go.
