Josh Dobbs (merged)

WRONG. I said that before the draft. I said Alvin Kamara would be the next Marshall Faulk in the NFL. A player who be dominant both as a runner and receiver. I predicted he would have a season where he runs for over 1,000 yards as well getting over 1,000 yards receiving. I also said he would be a future Hall of Famer.

This was all BEFORE the draft. All I did after the season started and Alvin began to dominate was simply repeat what I said before the draft. I offered no new takes on Alvin after the season started that I didn't say BEFORE the draft.

With regard to Dobbs passing, we'll see who needs to have their eyes checked when he's dominating the NFL next season. Josh Dobbs passing ability has always been underrated for some reason. I don't know why. I guess its similar to Alvin's running ability. Before the season last year people doubted whether he could run between the tackles. I thought that was absurd because he showed great balance and running power in college running between the tackles. He just didn't get many touches. Once in the NFL he got more touches and proved to be an amazing runner between the tackles as he led the league in yards after first contact.

In a similar vain, Dobbs passing has been underrated in college because of his poor offensive line, mediocre receivers, and awful coaching staff. Josh Dobbs has great passing ability. His accuracy is underrated and his arm is elite. When he tears the NFL apart this year as a passer you guys will realize I was right once again. Just as I was right about Alvin Kamara last year, I'll be right about Josh Dobbs this year.

I don't care if you predicted it when he was in pre-school it just makes my point that much more valid. No one should be predicted as a HoF that early. Makes no sense and the fact that you can't see that should tell us all something.

As for Dobbs, no, no and NO .. Arm is certainly not elite, pocket presence is ok but nothing special, mechanics were mediocre, wasn't tremendous at reading defenses and accuracy was also middle of the road. You can't call the guy underrated until he proves wrong on all those counts but he never has. Great athlete, but that is seldom what makes a great QB. But as I have said in the past, you're hardly qualified to make evaluations anyway, much less on QBs.

Alvin Kamara, is never going to be Marshall Falk reborn, no matter no matter how many times you repeat it. Faulk was the feature back on the colts, and in his rookie season had 1282 rushing yards on 314 carries. Kamara won't see 314 carries even if you add up his carries from 2017 and 2018. Sean Payton himself has stated as much when asked about how they are going to handle the Ingram suspension:

"The mistake would be that Alvin gets 15 more carries,"..."That's not the direction we would expect to go."

Dobbs' passing ability is not underrated, it's rated exactly as to what was observed on the field, and unfortunately it's middling at best, with inconsistent accuracy, and poor reads. He's a nice guy, and we all like him, but his ceiling is career 2nd string, and that's only with a few years on a practices squad and a whole lot of improvement, if he's even given the chance.

What about JuJu Smith-Schuster (Steelers)? I had him rated as the #2 WR in the 2017 draft ahead of almost everyone else and as a surefire 1st rounder when he went in the 2nd round in the real draft. Why are you not putting him in the correct column for me?

How about Dylan Cole (Texans) and Matt Breida (49ers)? I said both would be steals after not getting drafted and they both made an impact as undrafted free agents for their teams.

How about Marcus Maye (Jets), Marcus Williams (Saints), and John Johnson (Rams)? I had all 3 rated as 1st rounders and they all had solid rookie seasons and look to be furture stars.

I could keep going. I have made many predictions. You guys just like to latch onto the few one that haven't turned out to be right. While ignoring all the other ones I have gotten right. The only reason you guys give me credit for Kamara is because he's a Vol and his success cannot be ignored. But I've been right about a lot more than just Alvin. And this is only Year 1. By this time next year, I expect my list of guys I've been right about to grow exponentially.

So you’re admitting that you “haven’t been right” about Kaaya, Bosa, Goff, Lattimore et al? This is what’s termed as PROGRESS! :clapping: You may be redeemable just yet, kid.

How cute. After looking at PFF's highest rated and Pro Football Writers Association All Rookie team how's this look?

Tre'Davius White - not on your list, not even as a sleeper
Marshon Lattimore - you know the story
Kareem Hunt - you called "fools gold", rushing champ
Rueben Foster - LOL
Desmond King - not even a sleeper
Dalvin Tomlinson - not even a sleeper
Adoree Jackson - not even a sleeper
Cooper Kupp - not even a sleeper
Zach Cunningham - not even a sleeper
Derek Barnett - not even a sleeper

And while you didn't specifically do lineman you did specifically cite Ryan Ramczyk as someone you "didn't like" and yeah, all rookie team.

In fact of the 17 eligible (no lineman) on the PFWA team you had 9 ranked anywhere on your list. More importantly of those more than half were 1st rounders so, you know, not a lot of credit headed your way for seeing something others didn't.

So to sum up you completely wiffed on or outright dissed more players that made up the cream of last years best performing rookies than you named and in fact only named 4 (FOUR) Kamara, Smith-Schuster, Carl Lawson and Marcus Williams, that weren't already top rated players in everyone's eyes.

Kudos.

Unlike you guys, I will admit I am wrong if the results on the field don't match my expectations.

I said Alvin Kamara would be a SUPERSTAR in the NFL last year. Many didn't believe it. Now you guys act like that was so obvious now that Alvin is what I said he would be.

I expect Dobbs to be even better than Alvin. If he isn't, then you don't even need to call me out on it. I will admit it. Its just been his rookie year thus far. Have some patience. The best QBs in NFL history didn't really explode until Year 2.

Like last year when you said Dobbs would take over for Big Ben and win Super Bowl MVP?

If this was 2025 you might have a point. But it's only been their rookie year. Guys like TreDavious White are guys I expect to regress big time in coming years. And last I checked Rueben Foster has been arrested twice already and is in danger of being out of the league. I was right in that front thus far. I said he was a character risk.

FYI, Sleepers are guys drafted after round 2 that I expected would develop into starters. The guys you cited that I didn't put as sleepers went mostly in the first round. As a first rounder you are expected to become a starter. I don't give a guy credit for just starting if they get drafted in the 1st round. They have to become pro bowlers. I don't expect the guys you cited to become pro bowlers hence why I ignored them.

You need to learn how the draft works. Its about value. The higher you are drafted the more is expected from you.

WTH is wrong with you? What part of "The majority of the best rookies last year were players you at best missed on and at worst outright dissed." don't you get?

It's simple, nobody has any reason to believe you know what you're talking about until reality (you know, shiz that's actually happened) supports the majority of your contentions. You're deep in red ink.

LMAO Sleepers are late round picks, not 3rd rounders. Do you not know anything about the league? :good!:

Have you been keeping up with the Reuben Foster story at all?

Yes. I'm going on the fact that this guy has been involved in 4 different incidents since he left Alabama already.

Even if he escapes the domestic abuse charges, I'm sure something else will happen. Its just who he is.

But nothing will happen to Antonio Callaway?

Antonio Callaway has an innocent face. He can be changed with positive guidance like he's getting right now from Antonio Brown and Josh Gordon. Reuben Foster, on the other hand, has the face of a guy who will always get in trouble.

I told you guys this before the draft. The face tells all. And I can tell from Reuben Foster's face that he will continue to get in trouble until he's out of the league while Antonio Callaway will turn his life around and have a Hall of Fame NFL career.

So you're rationalizing your bad logic, with more bad logic. Good job.

So after being in trouble in HS (didn't know that I guess huh) where I am sure his baby face was even more of a baby face and then several times in college, SUDDENLY with 7 figures in his bank account he is going to turn it around? I'll believe it when I see it.
