I agree here. He clearly liked the turnout, but if you are ever satisfied you lose. There is always room for improvement and next year we fans should do our best to up our Spring Game Attendance. I don't know what schedules will look like a year from now but If I can go, I will and take my family.
Now, we just need Phil to de-Bamafy Pruitt some more and do an Orange Blood Transfusion and we will have ourselves a coach.
Austin Pope looked great catching that one little dump off and he rumbled and almost got in the endzone. He looks like he's going to be the fullback to me.
My starting oline prediction:
Trey Smith/Jerome Carvin/Ryan Johnson/Chance Hall/Drew Richmond

We need these two back in a big way. I think our OLine has definitely gotten better, though. With summer and fall workouts/practices they will continue to get better. They opened up some pretty big holes this past weekend.
Yeah the situation is a little better that I thought. I think we have a shot to be pretty good there if we get those 2 back.
Why follow recruiting? Because it's fun and we're all addicted. I like knowing who all the players are on the team, and I like knowing a good bit about our rivals, other SEC/regional teams. I know more about the rosters at Clemson, Georgia and Florida than most of their fans. Most of us on VN do. I like being educated about CFB. Makes it more enjoyable to watch on Saturdays in the fall.
Back to this thing of recruits saying one thing and doing another...that's how all this goes. Many recruits feel comfortable at multiple places, really like multiple coaching staffs, fanbases, locations, etc...but they can only choose one. Morris isn't going to go into great detail of what he's thinking with some DL from Florida who he's talking with on a recruiting trip. He's going to keep it light and fun and positive..."Hell yeah man, we're going to run things here in Knoxville/Auburn/Clemson/Athens!"
Recruiting isn't a science, it's an art. Nothing is black and white when dealing with teenage elite athletes being courted by the Top CFB programs. They say one thing and do another ALL THE TIME. Better get used to it...
As Omar would say, "All in the game, yo"
I believe our OLine has a chance to be an above average OLine next year.
One thing I did notice is that JG still stared down his targets in the Spring Game. Dunno if that is "too much looking into" for a Spring Game, but I sure hope he doesn't do that this fall.
I think it's pretty funny that Pruitt apparently tells the offense exactly where all the holes in his defense are so they can expose them in practice. Better to go ahead and give up those big plays now. It also gets your offense used to making big plays and gives them some confidence.
The improvement on defense is going to take a little time. But I think we have a shot to be pretty good by the time the season gets going. Maybe we'll even get better as the year goes on instead of worse for a change.

Yeah I'm hoping that's part of him learning the new system. It's hard to know. I like JG. I hope he can win this job and prove to be able to lead us to wins. But I'm a little skeptical of him to be honest.
I was pleasantly surprised with what the first string o line did. Don't know how much that had to do with the defensive line though. Smith and Hall coming back will be huge.
