Does it really matter who you are or how many games you've been to?

Let me ask you something, when you went to those games, were you hoping to build up some kind of equity so that one day you could prove your loyalty as a Vol fan?

Or did you go to the game to enjoy yourself and support your team?

If it was the latter, then you wouldn't need to be so offended.

Nebraska hired an alumnus who brings with him head coaching experience and took a Central Florida team to a level they've never seen before. Frost was their guy from the get go. There was no other! We went through an absolute clown show of a coaching search that resulted in the AD being fired and us getting ridiculed by the national media. There was way more hype/excitement surrounding Nebraska's hire than there was ours and you know it.

Also, I'd be curious to know what kind of promotional push Nebraska's marketing department did for their spring game because ours was pretty piss poor. Very little, if any effort was made to promote our spring game until 4 days prior to Saturday. This should have started the first day of spring practice! You can't just wait until 4 days before the game and then decide to encourage fans to come. Cancelling fan day didn't help. And yet despite all that we still had a very good turnout.

Really?? are you serious? They blew numbers out of the water compared to everyone, beating personal program records because of Scott Frost.

Let's be honest, if Frost decided to go elswhere, Nebraska was doomed to permanent mediocrity. It would have been a devestating blow to thir program that they would have a long, long time overcoming. Yet, though Frost was handed the keys to coach anywhere he wanted he chose to go back home. He is the Savior.

It's almost like what would have happened here if we hired Gruden. He could have coached anywhere, yet chose he and would have been our Savior.

Pruitt was the result of an embarrasing coaching search. I believe he has great potential, but he should know that morale is not very high right now and he will have to prove his worth through results first. Considering he pulled around the same amount of fans the year prior to Butch's 2016 year (Dobbs Senior year, lots of hype etc) and more than Kiffin and Dooley in their first years should be encouraging.

So the ones that did show up earned a pass for the ones that didn't.

If we only finish 5th due to poor coaching, CJP will be called out. Just like he is being called out for answering a question about fan attendance.

I don't understand the problem fans have for being called out for not attending when they could have attended.

Sure it's a major hassle going to the games. Just another price we pay as fans.

I haven't got to watch all of the second half of my recording. But don't recall any injuries so that's a start in the right direction .

Yeah, you're right, it has.

Then again, language evolves to meet needs. There was a need for a word to serve as shorthand for "children raised by their parents in ways that give them an inflated sense of their own uniqueness." And so, "snowflake" was put to use.

What I'm saying is, if there weren't a need for it, it wouldn't be used this way today. To complain that it is now over-used is roughly equivalent to complaining that the need exists.

And for that, we can/should blame my generation (baby boomers) and my wife's (generation x). We're the "helicopter parents" (another phrase that evolved to meet a need) who coddled our kids with soccer leagues without score keeping, where every player got a trophy. It's our fault the millennial generation is going through such hardship adjusting to a life beyond the cocoon, a life where criticism does exist, where understanding that "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" is actually good advice to live by.

I'm not saying everyone who's upset at CJP for calling out their absence from Neyland yesterday is a millennial. I'm sure we have butt-hurt Gen Xers and Baby Boomers, too. Just saying that the term "snowflake" does seem to fit. All of them.

You are taking this the wrong way. I am not "offended." If I was truly offended, I probably wouldn't be as supportive or care about spending money on my program.

All I have said is that I just don't think he should have said it. Did he really expect a record crowd? Again, the crowd was no different than in the past. Do we really need to prove that we care about the program? We have been through a lot the last 10 years, and we still show up. Pruitt probably doesn't realize that since he has been elsewhere. But he doesn't need to remind us- we will do it.

It's not his job to win over the fanbase in front of a Mic.

The last guy thought that would cover up his inept coaching ability. It worked for some while others focused on the product. In the end it didn't matter, and it won't for Pruitt either. Feel good wears off pretty quick for most educated fans.

Nebraska's marketing department job was simple they hired an amazing coach who is wildly popular and wildly successful. That sells itself.

Our coaching search is like bad reality TV, I would say it was a good turnout for a coach who has never been a head coach before was nowhere near first choice and after a 4-8 season. Just like Field of Dreams if you build it they will come, build a winning team you will have a full stadium, until you prove that; your going to have half empty. Don't call the fans out on it let it put a fire in your belly and exceed expectations.
