Agreed. May as well not even have athletics if it isn’t important to actually be good in them.

Well I mean there's some things I don't care if we win at. Like rowing. It's just there to eat up title 9 scholarships created by having the great sport of football.

But UT should be going all out to win at the sports that matter most and the sports that we are historically good at....

Football, basketball, baseball, softball and women's hoops. Those should be at the top. Win at the other stuff too but we need to be killing ourselves to win at those 5.

I don't give a flip about women's hoops either but reality is that its a sport that fans expect to be good at and the UTAD should too. Not to mention it's probably a fiscally wise decision to fire holly at this point.

Being ok with not being good enough is something I'm sick and tired of. Even if it's a sport that I honestly have zero interest in.

Yep. Looking like crap in the top women's sport isn't a good look for the school that made it bigtime. A culture of winning isn't selective. Every time those orange and white uniforms hit the field, court, diamond, track or pool, we want to be leading the pack, not bringing up the rear.

Is it just me, or do all the local media continuously whine about their limited access to practice?

The 24/7 podcast is a lot of "I'm not whining about the lack of access, but the next few minutes are going to be whining about a lack of access, and then we're going to talk about the dancing fundraiser Wes Rucker is doing, and then we're going to make far-reaching generalizations about the first 8 minutes of practice we're allowed to see, while we say we're not whining about not getting to see the whole practice, but really we're whining about not getting to see more than the first 8 minutes of practice."

Concede nothing. If we have a women's badminton team, I'd want them to kick the snot out of Florida and Bama, too.

It would be frustrating to not be able to do your job though. They talked about how under Fulmer they got to see everything and now it’s nothing.

And I don’t think it’s right or wrong either way. I just get why they are butthurt about it

Win. Win it all. If there's hardware to be had, I want it and I'll donate to build a bigger room to show it off.

It all builds off football. The better we are at football, the more students in general want to come here. It makes the whole campus better.

I get that too, and it’s clear they prefer this and Pruitt’s straight answers to Butch bellowing on a microphone.

Oh hell yeah. Sounds like they take it as a game almost. They’re trying to figure out how to pose questions to see if they can get Pruitt to slip up and reveal even the smallest of details

I do think they are getting better at wording their questions to get better answers.

Saw today where WVU has 2 of the top 5 WR in college football this year. Add Grier throwing them the football and that offense will be tough to stop.

Hope we can put some points in the board with the corners we’ll be trotting out there. Tough matchup.

Lost best linebacker tore acl and trust me both there lines are horrific depth is also real bad. Do have Grier and a couple decent receivers and backs are so so.

Soooo I kinda was at a house party with Joaquin Phoenix and John c Reilly last night

How were you "kinda" there? Were you standing half-in and half-out at the front door? Was part of you simultaneously existing in a different locale? Were you at a different house party that momentarily intersected with this celebrity-filled house party?

Lost their best rb, d lineman; and I think their db's have a total combined starts of like 3 or something...

dude cat, so dope. this board is living vicariously through you. I'm sure even Butchna- wait no, yeah he still hates you

keep up the updates, although, once you get into the scientology scene please please please stay away from the board

heard some really good news with Trey Smith. As of right now it's looking like he should be medically eligible to play come fall. There has been discussion on taking a redshirt, but it's looking like tests have come back that haven't eliminated the issue but are less severe than feared. Still some scary stuff when you are dealing with blood clots, but as it stands now, the rock of our offensive line should be on the field this fall.

As I scan through all the post cause I haven't been able to get in here and then I see that I haven't missed a thing. But I have missed the fun we have in here. Having to be out of town a lot for the next 6 months. Can't wait to see how we look at the Orange and White game. So hope to see a big difference in attitude and play.
