Can't see that happening until she's ready to retire. She's not going quietly.
UT seldom demands or invests in winning at a high level. Unless individual coaches are motivated to rise above expectations, our athletic programs enjoy moderate success and lately, not even that. Over time, expectations have been tempered until fans rejoice at making the postseason. UT is no longer relevant in sports we once dominated because the coaches who demanded elite performance were replaced by those who embodied the "good enough" mentality of UT's indifferent leadership.
Maybe this will change with Pruitt. It seems to be changing with Barnes, but it's unlikely to change at all with Holly.
I hope Fulmer can be the change agent we need. But he's already slackening the rope on WBB. It may be a non-revenue sport, but it's a sport that UT put on the map. Pat Summitt made the LVs her life's work and I think UT needs to be committed to keeping the program elite. I agree with your earlier comments-- UT tends to wait a year too long to shed failing coaches, and we've seen how costly that extra year of mismanagement can be.
Some people had shirts completely unbuttoned but overall it was quite classy. Probably doing coke somewhere though haha.
Highlight of my night: Joaquin shoulder checking me to get to bathroom
Sobering reality in the aftermath of ridicule. Changes some of my narrative on the former Gators coach.
The real reason ex-Gators coach Jim McElwain took a loss on his Florida home isnt so funny
I frankly don't give a rats rear end about women's basketball anymore. Football, football, football, men's basketball. As long as Phil is demanding in those areas the AD will thrive IMO.
I don't give a flip about women's hoops either but reality is that its a sport that fans expect to be good at and the UTAD should too. Not to mention it's probably a fiscally wise decision to fire holly at this point.
Being ok with not being good enough is something I'm sick and tired of. Even if it's a sport that I honestly have zero interest in.
