The issue is the individual and the individual's actions. Period. The manner in which the act was carried out is irrelevant to the act itself.
We need to address the issue which is lonely and woefully impaired people who are incapable of an outlet, in their minds, other than killing as many innocent people as they can. They want the pain and emotional turmoil to be felt by others.
Aside from the individual, what about the parents? They are a factor in the violence, just as the guns used were. They play a part in why and how this individual was what he was, to an extent. Because why, ultimately the individual will do what they will regardless of whether or not the parents were involved and caring and normal human beings. Aside from calling the police on their son, they are just another factor in this atrocity, maybe blame can be assigned, maybe not, but, the individual is solely responsible for his/her actions.
Sometimes, we as a people need to understand there is nothing other than the simplicity in understanding that there are some humans who just are wired wrong, incapable of processing life and compartmentalizing emotions and actions, and no matter what aside from institutionalizing or killing them will stop them from bringing their hate and disdain for just life, and being born, onto others. If there is treatment great, but, we need to get these types to that treatment by trying to figure out who is a candidate for such an act well before the signs appear.
Let's try and keep the opinions and responses on anything other than name calling guys. I know emotions run high, but, let's try and discuss opinions in just that matter, as that is what they are. Let's try and just tolerate one another at least.
