Wrong. The problem is not volume, its the will to commit heinous acts that result in the loss of life. Guns are merely a means, just as vehicles, bombs, etc. are.
If you want to honestly solve the problem, start at the root, not the branches.
do we know what the comment was or the video? I have seen reports about it, but nothing specific.
What I am wondering is how broad of a brush will be wide/narrow enough to get the FBI to look into?
I am going to get investigated every time I "like" a video teaching gun safety? Do I get investigated for liking a video that the majority doesn't agree with? Do I get investigated for commenting negatively on a video about the current president or something that talks about the US in general?
This is why a conversation won't be had. You're unwilling to admit that the availability of guns is part of the problem and my liberal brethren are unwilling to consider that there may be issues other than guns that contribute to the problem.
And what's your proposal for reducing the availability of access to guns? This is why a conversation won't be had. One of the beauties of an AR 15, almost no technical problems. Relatively cheap, easy, and effective means of killing a bunch of people. Got to love it.....I assume sells are skyrocketing today.
Like I said in my other thread
I've been in security/Law Enforcement for over 20 years now and every time there is a mass shooting especially at a school I get ton of messages on FB or via email asking my opinion on what can be done to stop these shootings. The short answer is NOTHING can be done to STOP these but there are a ton of things that we can do to pre identify possible shootings or limit the amount of victims/casualties .
The Gun Debate: Everyone is quick to call for gun control or bans on A-15's when there is a mass shooting. This is the laziest and dumbest argument in this whole tragic debate on shootings. Ban AR's or any guns WON'T stop these shootings. Most of the times these weapons are acquired from their parents, friends or just bought off the street without background checks. Politicians are quick to use these events for their own propaganda and political believes. If a nut case wants to shoot up a place there NOTHING gun bans will do to prevent these acts from happening, stop this debate and start doing something that CAN help reduce or identify possible events.
The debate needs to start with gun control. Only after rational minds are allowed to prevail, will we have even a remote chance of addressing the problem.
To claim that gun laws and regulations have no impact on the issue is beyond absurd.
This is why we push back so hard against you guys. The debate needs to begin with WHY people feel the need to commit such acts.
And this is why you fail. And this is how we find ourselves once again having the same debate.
