Grant Williams is significantly more athletic, has a nicer array of post moves, better shot blocker, has more range. Stokes, the better rebounder.
I know Ziti wants to say Stokes played around more talent, and there may be some truth to that and how it affected Stokes's numbers. However, throw the numbers out, and just watch the two play the game, and you can still come to the conclusions above.
Both are good players who played bigger than they are. I'm just glad Williams isn't 6-9 or taller. We wouldnt keep him beyond this year.
No chance Grant would go out this year, right? He's really only 6' 5 !/2"..and doesn't shoot great from three. And..he's not tall.
I don't see a case where Williams leaves early, especially not after his SO year. Now Bruin mentioned that he may graduate in three years (no proof of that, just speculation based on his academic background). In that case, I could see him maybe leave early and go to Europe to maximize his earning potential, but still doubtful.
What I really hope doesn't happen, and I doubt it does, but if he graduates early, what if he transfers as a grad transfer to a Duke or UNC with hopes of competing for a championship? Like I said, I doubt it happens, but I hate to even think about the possibility.

Each year the talk about doing away with graduate transfer immediate eligibility has increased, hopefully that is the case.
Or even better hopefully when that time comes he feels his chances of doing that are just as good here as there!
Also if I was Tennessee I would delay his class schedule so graduating isn't possible in 3 years. 12 hours a semester baby
