Boca, you know that I was the one who called Pilot, you also know that I was indeed the one who called Holiday Inn as well as the other Inn. Not sure what point you're trying to make by asking the question you know the answer to or what difference it makes. His comments, while in the middle of all the rumors.... he says you got to love the song rocky top, never say never to nothing, while being asked about the vols....along with bringing up vols during MNF. With your memory being so good in regards to who made call to where, seems like you have selective memory in regards to Gruden encouraging any rumors.
**Edit** Be mindful, before you refer to my comment about idiots chasing planes....notice the word "chasing" it's literal not figurative.

Your post proves the hypersensitivity many Vol fans had regarding Gruden this past Fall.
People will see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear to satisfy their own agenda or wish.
If you step back from it and look at the context around them, his comments weren't "trolling."
Somehow all of these other schools were able to fire a coach and hire a coach without the involvement of:
VC's
Academia
Sacrabbeans
Private Jets
Secret Real Estate Deals
Country Club Memberships
Etc.
It did make for an entertaining couple of months, though. :hi:
Thats a somewhat presumptuous conclusion. Did you follow the other coaching searches as we did UTs? Bottom line, no one knows what occurs behind closed doors in ANY of these searches. Ultimately, the hypersensitivity of our fan base changed the face of college coaching searches forever. Ive seen several LSU fans on Twitter seeking the advice of VolTwitter as to mobilizing their fan base in order to impact LSUs ADs office.
And we still didn't wind up with Gruden. If the hypersensitivity you're speaking of is in regards to Schiano, then you're correct.
No, I really didn't follow any other coaching searches but I saw vacancies filled in a pretty timely manner.
I would be willing to bet a lot of money (for me) that 75-80% of the stuff that was believed as Gospel during the Gruden threads never happened.
You're an attorney, correct? Did you ever question the "so-called" facts from the Gruden threads? At some point, you have to have proof instead of MIT Beaver's posts.
Thats a somewhat presumptuous conclusion.
As Ive said numerous times, attorney or not, this is an anonymous internet message board. I assume maybe 10% of what I read is true. The reason other vacancies were filled more quickly than UTs was because the primary malfunction was, and has been for quite some time, in UTs ADs office. Ultimately, our fan bases hypersensitivity, which Ill characterize as passion, played a huge role in forcing UT to take steps to address the problem. So, in the end, who cares whether some people believed the Gruden talk to be truth? In the end, the outcome wasnt Gruden but it was positive nonetheless. The fans voices were heard and hopefully the ADs office is in better hands.
By presumptions do you mean straight up lies?:lolabove::lolabove::lolabove::lolabove:
The 50+ Gruden threads were based on presumptions!
Let me ask you this...
Let's presume Trolling & Leading On were crimes and UT's fanbase decided to sue Jon Gruden for these crimes. If you were the judge, with the information you have available from both sides, would/could you convict?

We've gotta do something to stir the pot to keep it going.
I remember you posting something about some friends or someone you knew that were tailgating at one of the games during the Gruden.. ...thing. Because of something they said, you were at 50% on him coming. That was a pretty big jump from 25%.
I don't remember what the reason for this sudden jump was. Care to refresh my memory?
No kidding! Thats why they were called grumors because it was all hearsay and conjecture.
So, youre indicting the Grudenites for all their presumptions but you want me to provide my opinion on a hypothetical whereby I must presume the existence of crimes that dont exist in reality? Honestly, the Court of Public Opinion has already answered your question. But again, who cares at this point? Were you somehow negatively impacted by the opinions and beliefs of others regarding Gruden? It was entertainment mixed with a dash of hope.
Yes, they said his name started with a "J" and I told them, "Great! We're getting June Jones!"
The jump to 50% was blue font and alcohol!
I guess Im confused as to why you were in the thread to begin with then. If youre this passionate about peoples beliefs about Jon Gruden, I cant imagine how you react to religious and political debates! Haha
Well, the guy Periscoping from the airport has to make the Top 10 Grudemonium events/episodes. That was the funniest hour or so I can recall. I think all the comments scrolling by on that site and the comments on here made for a great laugh.:loco:
