Gruden will regret passing on the Tennessee job in a few years. He would've had 6 or 7 years here before he got on the Luke warm seat.

Gruden to the raiders is just a smokescreen. My sources have told me that he's already signed an MOU to be the next head coach at the university of Tennessee (for the 2018 season).

Some well-trusted posters have seen the MOU. They're just ironing out the final details.

Well, we had idiots risking life and limb chasing planes. The rumors were so ramped, that most any other coach would have came in to a No win situation. He should have said something, anything. Not to mention, a valid argument can be made that he even fanned the damn flames with comments he made. He knew exactly what he was doing.

**Edit** When you get down to it, there has been no proof that he's been talking to the Raiders either. The only difference you have is that he himself has finally chose to comment. Imagine that!

What, exactly, were his comments?

Who made calls to Pilot to confirm items with Butch Jones were being removed? Or who made calls to the Holiday Inn inquiring whether or not MNF trucks were in the parking lot?

I believe we had talks and there was mutual interest. I think it hurt us that the team went off the rails. I could see Gruden walking into the situation that was Vols football at the end of 2016 where we were obviously talented but poorly coached. The debacle that 2017 became probably scared off a lot of people. UTK went from being viewed as a program that needed a little depth and bit of coaching up to be a contender to a team in need of a total rebuild.

Boca, you know that I was the one who called Pilot, you also know that I was indeed the one who called Holiday Inn as well as the other Inn. Not sure what point you're trying to make by asking the question you know the answer to or what difference it makes. His comments, while in the middle of all the rumors.... he says you got to love the song rocky top, never say never to nothing, while being asked about the vols....along with bringing up vols during MNF. With your memory being so good in regards to who made call to where, seems like you have selective memory in regards to Gruden encouraging any rumors.



**Edit** Be mindful, before you refer to my comment about idiots chasing planes....notice the word "chasing" it's literal not figurative.
