Hope springs eternal...
Let's put it this way into optimistic terms. Fulmer knows what catapulted him into the position he currently holds. Furthermore, knows what this base desires, craves and is ready to riot for. His first PC was a clue when he talked about "the mistakes of the last nine years." I have thought heavily on this and what he meant. He has no love for Kiffin, knew Dooley was a mistake and bit his tongue where Jones was concerned.
Fulmer has UT at his heart and knows we bumbled about for nine years after his dismissal. He knows a name goes a long way in these realms and should know we are at a critical junction in UT's history. We can fade into obscurity like Colorado did 25 years ago and continue with mediocre after mediocre hire. Or he can get someone worthy of the Power T brand that causes us all to celebrate and give reason to continue coming back.
I choose to have faith AD Fulmer knows what he is doing and is ready to give the starving pack of wolves a truckload of steaks. He's not saying anything at the moment, which causes anxiety in our base and leaves us to our imagination to think horrible thoughts about who the next coach is. But, let's step back and remember who he is and realize he wants the same thing as we do.
