Considering the way our fanbase obsesses over every little thing the HC says and does, Leach would certainly make for some interesting conversation around here. That could be a good thing or a bad thing. I do think he would win though, so that would help a lot.

At the end of the day. That's all that matters. He would win a lot of games.

Found the mystery candidate!

I didn't know much about him but Tucker's resume is pretty impressive, other than a few years as D-Coordinator with a bad Bears team

The bulk of his career consists of short stints with the worst team in three different divisions in the NFL. I want to believe. Somebody help me.

Venables and Morris are the only hires that would be considered a success with the names that are being thrown out. Miles and Leach want the job, but apparently we aren’t interested....and that’s sad.

As head coach? I wouldn't be excited at all if that's the case.

He was Associate Head Coach for Alabama, and was picked to be Kirby's first DC at Georgia. He has a 2 - 3 record as interim HC at Chicago Bears. I would think interim coaches rarely have winning records.

I don't know anything else about him, besides what I just now read on Wikipedia, but if you surround him with a great staff, I think you could do a lot worse.

Bonus: You take away a critical cog from one of your biggest rivals.

And Tucker apparently chose to hitch his wagon to Kirby over Saban. That’s reason enough to make you question if he knows what he’s doing. (Obviously worked out OK if he gets this job now, though.)

There is always the stigma that your only good DC because of Saban at Bama so some want to branch out. Pruitt branched out and proved himself. Tucker likely wanted to do the same and possibly he likes smart better. Maybe smart is who brought him back to Bama. Never really know.

I don't know what to think of Tucker. It did seem like Bama secondary improved once he got there then he does call UGA defense. He has lots of NFL experience

Tucker is only 45. I thought he was like 60. He looks 60. That makes me feel better about his hire, perhaps he has earned his stripes and is ready. But dang, very risky.

I stand firm. I don't care who he hires actually. I stand with PF.

If he feels it's going to get us back to winning a lot of games and competing for championships, I will back him.

Think of it this way, this hire will forever be tied to his legacy.

He doesn't take that lightly.

I don't trust Fulmer one bit to make this hire. I hope to be proven wrong.

I agree 100%...

Unless it's Steele...or anyone else I don't like... And then I'm out.
