After the Schiano mess Charlie Anderson drove down to Tuscaloosa himself to talk to Pruitt. He's got a lot of backing. Thunder likes him as well.

Both of those guys are Phil's biggest booster support system and are the reason he got the AD job.

Please be what’s going on. If true, Phil is keeping it very quiet because no one is talking about Brohm. VQ mods have said multiple times they don’t think he’s a candidate anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least to find out later that Brohm has been the plan since last Tuesday, and that he and Phil agreed to pause for a week to let the AD change take place.

Chess game, IMO.

Semi-Baseless Conspiracy Theory:


It’s Brohm and it’s been Brohm for a while. But Bev, boosters, Phil, and and others knew they were going to take Currie down pretty much since the Schiano thing.


Hyams really was on to something. But Brohm’s buyout dropping along with the coup happening lead to nothing officially coming from that.


Currie could tell something was up, so he tried to go get his guy in Leach. It was easy for administrators to turn Leach down because Phil and Brohm already had a handshake agreement in place for this week.


Other interviews this week have been for show and/or for Phil to pick some top defensive minds about what kind of defensive staff to give Brohm.

False. From the second he was hired I posted I trusted him no matter who he hired because he knows more than me. Everyone else loved him getting the hire, rejoiced and then started to give conditions based on their uneducated opions.

Check my post. Full support for Fulmer from the start. I still have a calmness about this search like so many posted they had last Friday.

I mean the school the coach graduated from. He grows up hating Tennessee, Tennessee hates him, and suddenly he's the head coach.

I'm just wondering if there are cases like this previously that have worked.

Don’t you guys go getting my hopes up on Brohm. Seems like an obvious top candidate to me, but it has just been so quiet on that front.

Don’t want Pruitt, but rather have him than Tucker or Steele.

Prob because Brohm got pissed the first time, Phil would shutdown any mentions of him if he wanted him. We should hire Leach but will not. Sad, would truly put some fear in opponents and lift up this program with excitement. I think Morris would do better than Brohm esp recruiting. Paired with a 2 million dollar DC could be outstanding. Personally if I were raking in 80 mil per year, I would spend 20 on football, showing fans and the rest of America we are committed to winning. We will spend 8 total tho

I know Steele is CF buddy and former player here but for the life of me how can you look at his record and history as HC and be convinced as an AD that has the most important hire in the last decade to get the University that you love back to a power U hire such a lower level coach?
