Because he’s said he doesn’t want back in the SEC supposedly.

Also, given what happened at aTm I would think he would have second thoughts about coming here as would his wife. One call from Cuonzo Martin would nuke any thoughts he had about coming.

Sumlin would kill it here. Great recruiter, a player’s coach, and now he has a chip on his shoulder. A competent AD would be interviewing him as fast as possible

Love listening to Hubbs and Hyams on the radio. I think it's really beneficial to hear how they say things instead of reading them.

Anyway, a few things of interest:

Both guys say we're all in on Sumlin and will only move off when he says no.

Jimmy said the same two people that told him Dooley and Kiffin were hired told him Brohm was done and that the 2nd source told him he talked to Brohm's family personally. He said he later found out that source lied to him.

Both believe Chad Morris is out. Currie interviewed him in Dallas and they both thought he didn't do very well and it doesn't seem Currie is going back there.

Who said he didn’t want to be in the SEC? I’ve seen it said multiple times but I can’t remember the source of the statement.

Well, it's looking more and more like Currie is going to keep his job. I think Chancellor Bev and Presdient Joe are basically pretending to be cracking down on Currie to appease Twitter for a minute. I think their view of it is that it's not really Currie's fault that everyone was infatuated with an unrealistic Gruden and that anyone chosen would have received a similar reaction. In about a week or two Currie will trot out someone and then they'll all applaud him for the last minute save. I've heard a lot of gossip but my eyes tell me he's still got support behind closed doors. They're buying time and it's not to make a Gruden announcement. It's to fatigue us into taking the screwing better.

So cross off Morris unless we keep going way down the list. If they are really all in on Sumlin I hope they just go all out. Sumlin got a fat buy out, doesn’t care about money most likely. Need to find alternatives to money to sweeten the pot. Control, assistants money, etc.

Another thing they said is Currie is doing most of this himself with some help from Peyton. Said coach Fulmer's involvement has been a little bit more this week but it still wasn't all that much. I don't buy it, I think Jimmy Haslam has been extremely involved.
