If Tee comes, we will have the Jimmys and the Joes. We can get a good staff to help with the X's and the O's and our fanbase will be supportive. Never going to happen, unfortunately.

Here’s what I think happened with Gundy...Fulmer and Peyton are the ones responsible for getting it lined up. Fulmer probably had him ready to sign, and all that had to happen was Currie close the deal and get the signature. Therefore, Fulmer had it leak that this thing is close to done...that way when Currie fails to close the deal, he looks even worse. I think Fulmer is making a play for the AD. He will go to Dr. Joe and say, look, get rid of Currie and put me in as the AD...I’ll close the deal on a great coach.

Our only hope at this point is another actual big name coach sees the 6/42 offer we made Gundy and calls asking for the same deal. Only hope

I don’t think it’s necessary - but there is a reason you’d prefer an AD who identified as a Tennessee guy.

Curries problem is he thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. His decisions and strategy is about him.

He has no ties or loyalty to the institution and it’s well being. It’s about him, his career, and how he can prove he is in control.

To do that, he operates looking up to please his masters versus looking around him and down the line to see what the institution needs or seeks.

At this point - it’s blatantly obvious this is the case. If he was listening, knew about Tennessee, or cared about Tennessee, he would get that the only decision he can make now that would rally a fanbase — even with pockets of skepticism — would be Tee Martin

Forget this encouraging trash! Why do we always have to encourage someone to look for a job? Straight up fire him with cause, because of that trash he pulled Sunday, or fire him with cause because he’s not fulfilling his duties as an AD...being able to hire a HFC worth 2 cents!

I think Fulmer leaked it in an effort to put more pressure to get rid of Currie and make him the AD. Fulmer knew Currie wouldn’t close the deal.

Vandy hired a search firm in 2011 and pulled a “James Franklin” out of mid-air. UT is too smart to use a search firm, hence Kiffin, Dooley, Jones and almost Schiano!

If we hire Kevin Steele, Neyland may not hit 60,000 in aftendance next year.

I wonder if Jimmy Hyams thinks he has some say in who gets named. That might be why he is pushing Steele. I am reasonably sure that Jimmy believes he would have some great insider information if Steele becomes Coach. When Dooley was hired, he was pushing Kippy Brown, for the same reason.

Amen! Someone at UT needs to grow a set and start making these decisions! Fire Currie, tell Haslam to eat the buyout and tell him his power days are coming to an end. I am praying Fulmer receives power from DiPitreo to take over right now!

We could probably poll all decision making thru the RF football talk thread and run it better.

It’s hard to screw up as bad as the UTAD does on a consistent basis.

Listening to Joe Rogans podcast tonight and he briefly talked about our Schiano debacle. Thankfully he didn't blast us. Crazy that it got on there though.
