Only if it's a crappy hire. Pruitt is a "trot out" hire. No one wants to see that dude's mug behind the podium. He looks like a pissed off DMV employee.

Brohm brings excitement and energy to the program immediately. Tee brings excitement also, especially when he starts to recruit like he does. Everyone will forget about this except Vol fans who will continually remind everyone how we saved the program in 3 years by stopping the Schiano hire.

Brohm would excite me if he has good coordinators around him. Either way better than Schiano

Lol I get the context of it for sure. It just cracks me up when I picture a coach actually trotting out to the podium.

Not sure I understand why Frost wouldn't even talk? Are up and coming coaches that turned off by doubling their salary at a place like UT with top notch facilities?

I can't stand Jimmy Hyams. Always throws the fans under the bus. Always points out the worse never accentuates the best. He's defending Schiano. Only criticism is he didn't think it was a good cultural fit. Screw him. The narrative today should be: whomever in their right mind thought hiring Greg Schiano was a good idea? What positives were there? He was hated by his players. He was hated by the media. He was hated by opposing teams for his antics. He told his players to go for the other players knees when in victory formation. He leaked information about a drug test of one of his players. He was manipulative toward his players. His players didn't trust him. He's a pos person and a terrible coach. Whoever signed off on this should be escorted from the UT campus immediately. It was beyond stupid.

His source is Haslam. He is always going to defend him.

not overly impressive.

I still think his overall body of work is greater than just his first year at Purdue.

I would hope those numbers significantly change in year 2-5

Not overly impressive but Purdue won 9 games total in 4 years prior. Brohm got them to a bowl game year 1. The defensive side is also a bit misleading. Purdue is top 25 in Scoring Defense and top 20 in points allowed. I think if he were stay at Purdue for another 2-3 years would see a lot of improvement.

Will someone give the AD Jim tressel's phone number. We are about to be stuck with another band aid hire. First year excitement, second year reality sinks in, third year we are back here listening to people talk about gruden, fulmer, and cutcliff.

Probably because Currie said something like "I'd like to interview you on a Saturday. I know you have a game, oh well, guess you don't want the job. Click."

Then he said "sorry guys he didn't even want to interview."
