I’m gonna go ahead and admit something a lot of people won’t own up to.

I didn’t rally against this hire because of the PSU stuff. I rallied against it because it was a terrible, tone deaf, cheap, lazy hire that was forced thru by the same booster who has ruined this program for years and executed by the AD candidate who never should have been hired in the first place!

The PSU stuff alone is reason enough to not hire him. But so was his resume and history as a coach.

I didn’t do any research on the PSU cause frankly I don’t need to. Someone testified he knew and it wasn’t proven false. If that’s part of the required vetting then we shouldn’t even be considering it.

I'll own up to a little of that too. I did read up on it though and it was enough to me to know it would be used against him in recruiting. It was a stupid idea to ever consider him for the coach at Tennessee. It was moronic. There was zero positives about him coming here. Anybody that thought he would be a successful coach here should be thought of as a heretic.

We aren’t getting our top target. In my mind Tee is worth the risk. He would unite the fanbase and recruit like mad. If he fails he would still leave a full cupboard for the next guy. I think he is what we need right now.

Something happened in that last season that was controversial. There may have been something divisive about Pruitt. Can’t remember.

Plenty of reports have been wrong the entire search. Currie didn’t interview Mullen, and took a trip to the Bahamas in the middle of a search. He had who he was going to hire.

The only person I see crying are the one's that want to hang the trolls. I'm not disappointed that we didn't hire Gruden, I'm disappointed at the complete sophomoric dysfunction of this administration. Spreading rumors about Gruden are not why this fan base is outraged. It's outraged because of the total mismanagement of the hire. They are outraged that any AD could even possibly think hiring Greg Schiano was a good hire.

He doesn’t even care about all of that. Only reason he said anything is because the grumors annoyed him on a personal level and he is trying to frame it as caring for others 🙄
