Asked around a little bit - Tee has about 85% approval with the athletic department - but not with the guys that matter. Sexton is really pushing him. I could see us going this route just to keep him happy after the Schiano debacle.

Brohm was Currie's first call this morning so I would assume he's most likely.

Many boosters prefer Pruitt and are going to try to get in his ear before he can take the Mississippi State job.

I hope Pruitt takes that job without even looking twice at us. No thanks.

What would Pruitt's staff look like? I assume it would be heavy on guys with SEC experience, but would be able to poach anyone from UGA or Bama? I doubt it. I think he would have the John Janceks and Willie Martinezs of the world filling out his staff.

I thought he was wise but if he was truly for Schiano... that is crap on his part. He should have stood up to Currie and Haslam!

Ainge said neither Heath or Peyton knew of the Penn State stuff. It sounded like they were just supporting what their university was doing without questioning it. Doubt that happens again. Peyton definitely damaged his brand with the fans yesterday.

I’m gonna go ahead and admit something a lot of people won’t own up to.

I didn’t rally against this hire because of the PSU stuff. I rallied against it because it was a terrible, tone deaf, cheap, lazy hire that was forced thru by the same booster who has ruined this program for years and executed by the AD candidate who never should have been hired in the first place!

The PSU stuff alone is reason enough to not hire him. But so was his resume and history as a coach.

I didn’t do any research on the PSU cause frankly I don’t need to. Someone testified he knew and it wasn’t proven false. If that’s part of the required vetting then we shouldn’t even be considering it.

He would hire a great staff. Been in the league and knows a lot of people. Knows what it takes to win in this conference.

So approval percentages = a neutered Currie.

Yeah I'll admit I have no idea why we would consider Jeremy Pruitt over Brohm

Anyone attempt to sell VN on Pruitt? Why do people in the AD want him as HC?

Exactly. Evening setting aside the PSU stuff, there is no way Schiano should have even been on the list.

There is a reason no one else wants him -- it's because he is notoriously hard to get along with and doesn't have a good enough coaching resume to make people hold their nose on and deal with him.
