Yeah I'll admit I have no idea why we would consider Jeremy Pruitt over Brohm

Anyone attempt to sell VN on Pruitt? Why do people in the AD want him as HC?

A lot of SEC experience. Worked under a number of great coaches. The success at Georgia isn't hurting his cause.

I’m gonna go ahead and admit something a lot of people won’t own up to.

I didn’t rally against this hire because of the PSU stuff. I rallied against it because it was a terrible, tone deaf, cheap, lazy hire that was forced thru by the same booster who has ruined this program for years and executed by the AD candidate who never should have been hired in the first place!

The PSU stuff alone is reason enough to not hire him. But so was his resume and history as a coach.

I didn’t do any research on the PSU cause frankly I don’t need to. Someone testified he knew and it wasn’t proven false. If that’s part of the required vetting then we shouldn’t even be considering it.

I'm right there with you. I honestly didn't even know about the PSU stuff until reading it on here. I balked at the name the first time I saw it from his Maryland days. Plain and simple, just not a good hire. The. Throw in all the player angst towards his, and top it off by the allegations.

The PSU connection is why you don't call him.

You don't hire him because he's a mediocre coach that's a d!@k to boot.

The only person I see crying are the one's that want to hang the trolls. I'm not disappointed that we didn't hire Gruden, I'm disappointed at the complete sophomoric dysfunction of this administration. Spreading rumors about Gruden are not why this fan base is outraged. It's outraged because of the total mismanagement of the hire. They are outraged that any AD could even possibly think hiring Greg Schiano was a good hire.

Its both. I guess its purely my opinion though.

So approval percentages = a neutered Currie.

I don't know. He's still not telling anyone his plans or motives. The feeling I got from talking to some people was that Currie is working like normal and while he has to feel the pressure, he hasn't let it show to any of them.

If it's Brohm I would imagine that means he has approval from up top.

All the "underlings" want Tee but the way it was described to me was that "the old boy's club" doesn't think it's a good idea.

I honestly knew nothing about the Penn st stuff yesterday when the news broke. All i heard was we were hiring him and it felt like someone died. I just flat out dont want him to be our coach and it has nothing to do with Gruden either. I've heard that on xm all day. We didn't want him because it wasn't Gruden. Watch what happens if we get a decent coach, that narrative can be put to rest.

How do we know that? I think Smart takes a step back next year. Just like Muschamp did in year 3.

Just think he's late to the game, would be at a lesser program compared to Smart (roster and recruiting wise), and is probably less likeable/harder to work for. That's based on anecdotal stuff, but he's supposedly a huge prick.

If he filled out his staff with SEC guys, it would require poaching guys who are currently employed. Not sure how many would be willing to leave UGA, Bama, etc., to come to Tennessee and work with a guy who is completely unproven.

He might get lucky with the FSU job coming open and be able to round some positions with Jimbo's guys who won't follow him to A&M.
