6. I think he would have been a tough fit. He has a reputation of being hard to deal with and plenty in the athletic department were nervous about him. But I'm sure he has changed. Schiano is a tough hard nosed guy, but I don't think he's a bad coach.
This??
Its really confusing how they are interpreting his responses as carrying water. Im just dumbfounded.
Pruitt would be fine.
The simple decision is to give the damn job to the last QB to win an SEC championship here and let him go to work on the recruiting trail. It really is very easy.
Hyams said this morning he thinks it was because we didnt hire Gruden.... 🙄 yeah thats it Jimmy, never mind the fact that a lot of the people that were up in arms about it didnt even like Gruden. Oh but keep pushing that narrative that we were just pitching a fit.
You would think all of the local media would defend the fanbase more.

After watching Willie in Oregon last week, I think he stays there a while. Seemed to enjoy it and seems to be building something.
Thats what we need.. someone who enjoys it and someone who really cares about Tennessee football. Not someone who talks about caring about it.
Maybe I'm not as smart as the guys leading the AD (though maybe I am after yesterday) but if we're going to turn to the unproven coordinator why not try and lure Venables or Foster away?
