Touching back on the Herbstreit BS, if he’s such a good guy and coach, tell Urb to go kick rocks. If you’re comfortable letting someone go from your system, you didn’t want them. Don’t piss on me and tell me it’s raining Herb.

you mean the same kirby who said Gaulden should have been benched and even kicked off the team for throwing birds and our coaches stink because they didn't handle it the right way, but on gameday he basically defended Baker for grabbing his junk and F U'ing everyone? yeah that guy is a total douche.

Tee's not ready.

Surround him with the right people and he will be. This program is at its best when it’s run by Tennessee people. Give him Kevin Steele at DC and find a smart OC to pair up with Tee and watch us return to where we need to be. Also I’m joining bass’s movement. Every post should end with #FireCurrie

I think we’re gonna have a hard time hiring a top head coach now. We’re late in the game, he tried to go the cheap route anyway, and media will kill us over this even tho we’re right. Tee is someone who would come here who offers a lot of promise. He’s a great OC, top recruiter, put him with a great DC and we’ll win a lot of games

Currie, if this Haslam **** is true you're nothing but a worthless pile of 💩

LA VOL would be the one to answer. I thought he said earlier that we had a search firm vet candidates early on. If they didn't flag Schiano, they should be fired as well.

UT has a long-term contract with a search firm and they vet candidates for professional hires (academic, athletic and administrative). UT often hires a second outside search firm for HC and other big hires and does deep background with final candidates. (We've used Turnkey in the past.) Currie chose not to go with a second search firm for this hire. No idea whether he asked to have Schiano vetted at some point.

But yes, there could be legal ramifications and people could be fired over this.

People need to chill on go get Tee or bring on Leach.

Schiano is bad enough but to settle after this is not the right move either.

F Haslam

Venebles with Tee as OC. Let Tee have control over the O and let him prove o everyone how good he could be in charge.

Kiffin. 4 years deal, big buyout if he leaves early. Small buyout if he's fired. Do it Currie

Swain was referring to this tweet from Ainge. He has a point, can’t be any worse.

There is some smoke on TOS that DePitrio has called in Currie for a meeting tomorrow morning. This is not looking good for Currie.

From Susan Lynn's Facebook account:

For more than an hour and a half I have been texting on a group text with 73 other state legislators about the possibility of Greg Schiano being named the new head coach of UT. Schiano worked at Penn State during the Sandusky years, and according to a July 2016 Washington Post article, Mike McQueary testified that Schiano knew of Sandusky's abuse. Over this hour and a half, we have had our leadership contact Depitro, the Trustees and the Governor to express our strong objections to his hiring if true. We are still texting...
