Oh man... I have been watching this and laughing for like 5 minutes. That is awesome!

ChattaVol06 on VQ...

"The program and university did a great job of releasing their smokescreens over the last week and enforcing the hush command to those in the inner circle who had been chirping to their most trusted associates.

They also effectively imposed their will thru a lot of the local and national media. Examples are Hyams, who has said that Gruden is absolutely not happening, and then some others who have written articles questioning Gruden’s potential effectiveness at the college level while hilariously claiming that UT had very little desire to pursue Gruden.

I’m going to continue to take it easy on here while we all wait for the inevitable. Can’t wait to watch the basketball team tomorrow against a really good opponent to temporarily satisfy my intense need for some winning action from the University of Tennessee and an opportunity to embrace the pride that I hold in my alma mater.

I look forward to the next several weeks, though. I plan to forgive anyone and everyone who asks for forgiveness for blindly and shamelessly attacking my character and moral fiber. Thankfully, the good Lord always supplies me with all of the strength and perseverance that I need, and the past few weeks is no different.

To my brothers and sisters of Vol Nation,
We draw near to the time when we will gather together, laying down our swords at the feet of our own enemies; the enemies that we so falsely made during the seasons of hardship and repeated failure which caused us to lose sight of the prize and to forget the responsibility that all those who came before us entrusted us with as Volunteers. We will give tremendous thanks and gratitude for the blessings that the good Lord shall soon bestoweth upon us, and we will join hands in harmony, together singing the words of our cherished anthem, joyfully singing on high:

“Rocky Top you’ll always be Home Sweet Home to me. Good ol’ Rocky Top (WOOH), Rocky Top Tennessee.”

This thing is really going to happen!!!!

Love it, love it, love it.

One itty bitty nit to pick: you lay your sword at the feet of your enemy in surrender. It is not a gesture of goodwill, but one of defeat. Let's do something different than that. :good!:

GO Vols!

I do think we are constitutionally different from the others. I believe that we are the ones who remember that we are one of the most storied programs in college football. We remember a time when there was swagger involved with being a Tennessee fan. We remember a time when, if we were down by 4 and Peyton got the ball back on his own 20 with a minute twenty seconds left, you had full confidence he could drive it those 80 yards. We are the ones who believe that a coach of the highest caliber, the single most sought after coach of our time not only would come here, but that the University of Tennessee would be the job he'd pick and want over every other single job on the planet. We are the ones who continue to believe in the strength of our history to propel us forward.

Stupid mullenites can't dream big. They can't imagine a life better than the one they already have. I genuinely feel sorry for them.

The most endearing memory that I have of Tennessee football was 14 year old me jumping up and down in the living room with my mother(an alumni) when we recovered the on-side kick in the national championship game to seal it. Second to that is the 2004 UF game at Neyland, the euphoria from the crowd as Wilhoit buried that 50 yard game winner was fantastic.

You won the OJGT post count competition and are granted all the rights and privileges pertaining thereto.

Also, AV dropped by with positive vibes, if not news.

The mighty beave showed up saying nothing but it didn't stop all his groupies from drooling all over the thread.

I was at both games.

In 2004, Mr. SFD (Who had incidentally proposed to me earlier that week) picked me up and swung me around. He took out several people.

That's where I went. If you (or she) have questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. I have several med students I bring in to my practice and in to the operating rooms with me. I also bring in college students for experience - including a couple of our senior football players. Happy to speak with you all. cbbowlingmd@gmail.com (no nudes....except for escapegoat)

Thanks very much, CB, I got the email address and will let her know of your kind offer! :hi:

I'm ready for this to be over so I can move on

Just tell me you don't want to go out with me

This is like that episode of How I met your mother where Ted is "dating" the pharma rep (Carrie Underwood) but she is still got a boyfriend.
