I do think we are constitutionally different from the others. I believe that we are the ones who remember that we are one of the most storied programs in college football. We remember a time when there was swagger involved with being a Tennessee fan. We remember a time when, if we were down by 4 and Peyton got the ball back on his own 20 with a minute twenty seconds left, you had full confidence he could drive it those 80 yards. We are the ones who believe that a coach of the highest caliber, the single most sought after coach of our time not only would come here, but that the University of Tennessee would be the job he'd pick and want over every other single job on the planet. We are the ones who continue to believe in the strength of our history to propel us forward.

Stupid mullenites can't dream big. They can't imagine a life better than the one they already have. I genuinely feel sorry for them.

They either succumbed and have become conditioned to be incompetent, or they are too young to have witnessed and experienced the very things you mentioned. I, for one, am not comfortable in paying for a Bentley, only to drive a Yugo.

We are a pinnacle program. Without TN and AL, the SEC would be beneath the PAC, B1G, Big 12 and ACC.

Personally, I wouldn't rule out some of these goons being paid deflectionists. The hubris required to dye their hair and put a gem in their navel is telling.

Been lurking a while, been on board with the Gruden hire from the beginning. I want to say, as a kid I remember the feeling I had watching Johnny Majors being carried off the field by his players at Pitt. They just won the NC and you knew he was giving that up to come here. He wanted to be here and you knew he wanted to be here. It felt right. This is the first time since CJM was brought back that a hire for the good guys has felt so right. Johnny may not have been the savior that everyone thought he would be, but I never regretted that he was brought back to Tennessee. Here's to bringing back Gruden, and having no regrets. Really enjoyed being here with all yall even though I've stayed quiet. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

GBO!

I wonder if Gruden will be flying in and having thanksgiving with his wife's family, thereby setting off an earthquake in this thread? Doesn't her family live around Knoxville? If not, please ignore that old man behind the curtain...
