Fine then, nothing to his comments, he has no clue about it and just giving a very uninformed opinion. The last person to know that you are going to take a new job is your coworker. By the time they know, you have already accepted and cleaning out your office.

Ok so leak? Cause when I read it I wondered how his opinion of something of which he admits he hasn’t talk to the person about equates a story unless it was pushed by someone for a specific purpose.

SERIOUSLY........ Like Grudenites on this board I have allowed my judgment to be clouded by what I want to happen, at times overlooking the obvious hoping that all of the skulking and behind the scenes negotiating is actually taking place. BUT I challenge all of us to wake up from the dream and come clean with what you really believe not what you would like to believe or what you have convinced yourself into believing. Not intended to create problems or be deemed to be a Benedicct Arnold. If you actually feel it in your heart and soul stick with it. If not, tell us what you think will actually happen. It's been a fun ride with a lot of humor but as the old adage goes, "it's now nut cutting time."

Empathy for his fellow coaches is paramount for Gruden, hence the FFCA. I do not see how he could rationalize making an announcement that would cause a DEFCON 1 distraction for the current staff and players while there is still work to be done and a game to be played. For anyone to truly expect the man that is Jon Gruden to announce before Sunday would be folly. Information that has been disseminated by "people in the know" seems to point towards an announcement after Sunday. If next Tuesday passes without an announcement, I would consider Coach Gruden not to be a viable option.

I am currenty a devout VOLS fan living in Georgia. IWe are in Tennessee visiting family for the holiday. I thought hey, I bet I can get some Gruden info on the local sports talk radio. What a joke! I have never heard such negativity spewing from local radio for such a potentially great hire. They were all Mullen, why so much Gruden hate locally, are they getting a cut for trying to influence the hire?

Gonna be playing that song man. That's a great song. Rocky top!

There's no way in hell he does that knowing how bad we want him here and would do that to us. Especially since his damn children go to Tennessee.

Currie going to the Bahamas for a basketball tournament just literally screams, if I'm not worried then neither should we.

To everyone who continues to think Gruden isn’t coming because local and national media is saying he won’t...think about this recent and relevant event regarding media.

****Please do not take this as political but rather the truth about how lazy/untrustworthy the majority of the media are.

99% of all media said Trump had no chance. Everyone laughed on set of local and national media that he’d even have a fighting chance. It was to the point of why should there even be an election...Hillary couldn’t lose. Fast forward to Election Day, New York Times changes their percentages from 93 or 94 percent Hillary to 50 something percent the moment Florida went his way.

My point is, they didn’t do their homework or only listened to the research they wanted to believe. With these coaching searches the majority of the media put out click bait or what they themselves think is reasonable UNTIL they hear something right before the hiring happens. Then they save face and try to act like they were all over it and got an inside source at the last moment. They then follow up with articles about who could the staff be and get readers engaged and at this time most readers completely forget about all the interviews and articles where they said this wouldn’t happen.
