SERIOUSLY........ Like Grudenites on this board I have allowed my judgment to be clouded by what I want to happen, at times overlooking the obvious hoping that all of the skulking and behind the scenes negotiating is actually taking place. BUT I challenge all of us to wake up from the dream and come clean with what you really believe not what you would like to believe or what you have convinced yourself into believing. Not intended to create problems or be deemed to be a Benedicct Arnold. If you actually feel it in your heart and soul stick with it. If not, tell us what you think will actually happen. It's been a fun ride with a lot of humor but as the old adage goes, "it's now nut cutting time."

95% past AD history takes the 5%.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you with Exhibit A in response to the question of how in the hell did the great University of Tennessee ever manage to hire Derek Dooley and Butch Jones.

Keep the faith amigo. Not much longer.

So your challenge is for the people in the "Gruden" thread to come out on the record with who they believe will be the next head coach..in the gruden thread..

If Currie wanted to talk to a coach at another school. Does he have to ask permission or is it like a courtesy thing?

You can do things behind the scene but if your down to a face to face, I think you ask the other AD for permission.

Could be wrongo on that one though???

Again serious question

Fine then, nothing to his comments, he has no clue about it and just giving a very uninformed opinion. The last person to know that you are going to take a new job is your coworker. By the time they know, you have already accepted and cleaning out your office.

Lulz. Why does it bother you guys so much?

Unbelievable. I'm tempted to continue this thread even after we hire Mullen, just to piss you guys off.

TN is a still a very good job. Its a Top 40 job, its not a top 10 job. TN will hopefully hire a Top 25 type coach. TN football is not going to be the 90's power house it once was. Its over. The new goal should be to make the Top 25, that is as good as it gets. Coming to terms with this will make it easier to accept the next coach- Tommy Tupperville.

Mods.......

Before you get the hammer Dawg44, tell Kirby to enjoy his success with Richt’s players.

Don’t forget, Muschamp went 11-2 his second year at Florida before being exposed as a fraud.
