Things built, torn down and other projects.(Pictures)

There’s maybe 500$ in materials there including a door probably 1000$ in labor.
Got a picture?

Looks real nice right now with all the leaves everywhere.... this time of year I can blow it off and come back an hour later and it looks like this again

That’d be easy for you to do DIY.
I’d say 1500 to pay someone.
25-3000$ and you could do a nice knee wall and dress it up some.

Since I'm in no hurry and the boss.... my wife.... doesn't appear to be either..... I probably will end up doing it myself. I'm waiting on her to decide if she just wants it screened or if she prefers windows.

Ok guys.. got the load taken to Florida on around the second.. It ended up being $5400 worth and some change.

Got it delivered and had a front caliper lock up on the truck so I spent a couple days fixing that and changing the glow plugs. Starts much better in cold weather.

Spent a week with the family and got back on the 14th.

Worked a couple days cleaning up. I should have had it done in 4 days but I got injured.

Had a 6x6 oak beam fall on my back knocking me to the concrete floor.

I cut a wall loose to push over and the beam broke loose when it shifted. Was no way to see it coming. Even as careful as I am sometimes crap just happens. I was moving like a snail for about 5 days. I had to finish getting it cleaned up, which I did today.

I have about another 600 board feet out of this one during cleanup.

So my total from this building will be about $11,000.

Time wise it sucked. I spent over a week working on my new trailer. Spent another 9 days on vehicle maintenance. Took maybe a week total off. I had 22 working days in the building, denailng the wood and taking it to my buyers.

The rest was spent on other things.

My back is better and I have 1 barn left on this farm and it's a dandy. Ill post pics tomorrow when I start.

It's grown to the point that I'm going to have to hire some help to keep up with demand for my barnwood. It's getting hard to do.

Everyone loves the job I do and 1 customer even raised his prices because of the quality I'm bringing him.

I'll finish this job alone and hopefully it goes faster because I shouldn't have any more distractions like a trailer to build and truck is in good shape now.

Now it's time to get to slinging some wood.

Outstanding
You’ve put in some serious work

Too many distractions though lol.

I'm ready to start turning over some wood and making bank.

I'm gonna start putting back 500 to 1000 board feet for myself off every job for my future shop.

To this.. just have to burn the rest on Monday.

The landowner is reponsible for the foundation.

It would have been impossible to get any pics to upload after the Vandy loss and the Schiano fiasco so I waited until today.

Started the last barn on this job on Saturday. Got in about half a day.

This barn is a true barn and not a utility building like all the others, right in my wheelhouse lol.

It's about 60x60 and seems to be 98% oak with a little pine in some downstairs walls.

It's in really good shape. The only significant insect damage I see is to the pine tongue and groove flooring in the loft and a small amount in the main breezeway below.

Otherwise a nice barn. Built in the mid 60's so not a lot of local history attached to this one like the others.

Day 1 was inspecting and getting a start on removing the tin.

It's too wide and in too food of a shape to pull down so I'll have to piece this one down like the tractor repair shop.
