Man that is awesome Atlanta Vol. I wish I could take you up on it. Unfortunately I have to fly to Arizona for a friend's funeral. We deployed to Iraq together in 2006. This past Friday his PTSD beat him. There is a gofundme set up for his family if anyone is interested in helping them out.

Where in AZ. I'd like to attend if possible.

Thank you for posting. It makes me sad to hear about your friend - I’m sorry for your and his family’s loss.

My grandfather (left us in 2012; he’d have been 100 years old this month!) fought in WWII, South Pacific theatre. I’ve got roughly 20 hours of video interview footage I took of him and am in the process of writing about his life.

I’m still relatively young, but I’m old enough to recognize that the sacrifice you, your friend, Grandpa, and many, many others have made is something I’ll never be able to comprehend. But, I can say, “Thank you!”

Hearing about first experiences tonight and the kind jesture brought by AV magnifies really why we are behind this hire! This would culminate our hopes and desire to bring back UT football to its rightful place and enable us to really share that experience with the ones we love!!!

You know he has been contacted. Pretty sure that’s a given. Can’t understand why he is silent. Maybe contractual issues. Idk. But he is gonna be offered as much as can be. And if he turns it down i wonder if he will be as beloved as before.
