I have to believe that either someone in the AD is asking for him to keep it tame or is feeding him bad information deliberately. If it does turn out to be that, Currie will likely never recover. I guess there's a chance that Norvell or Morris could kill it here, but when they failed, Currie would be reviled more than Mike Hamilton.

News from some of the actual media like Hubbs and Lowe sounds very unimpressive. Definitely put some realism back into this thing.

I'm sure the "insiders" will double down.

I just don't understand the Frost thing. It's impossible to say whether he will be able to draw elite recruits and he took over a UCF team that was one bad season removed from a co-conference championship 9-4 season and two seasons removed from playing in the Fiesta Bowl. Whatever is going on at UCF has a lot more to do with the foundation building and recruiting of George O'Leary that it does with Frost IMO. I just don't believe there is enough of a track record to roll the dice on Frost.

I think both would do a great job though. Morris is as responsible for the current Clemson success as any coach currently there. He was 42-11 as OC there and was responsible for them getting Deshaun Watson. He helped Tahj Boyd rack up 13,000 total yards and 140 tds in his career.

He is turning around SMU and they will be a break out team next year. They only have a handful of SR's.

Everyone will be pissed because of his current record, but you have to look at the situations these coaches walked into.

Nick Saban is 66 years old. When he's gone the Bammers are going to go back to being the same squabbling mess they were before he got there. There's no reason to throw the third Saturday in October away when we've got other problems to worry about first.

I think Hubbs and others are looking at the last ten years of Tennessee football and basically saying that’s the new norm and what kind of coach can a program with 6 losing seasons in 10 years reasonably be expected to attract.

I’m not sure I’m there yet, but I’m close. I’m very very curious who we really get when this thing is said and done.

It’s as much who their current coach is as well as what kind of monetary and other commitments they make to their program relative to us. They far exceed us in a lot of ways. Unless we up the ante significantly on our side, we are not their rival.
