Fact is Mullen is overachieving at a program that should be the doormat of the west. He overachieves in recruiting, development, and game day coaching as well. Anyone that compares him to Jones is window licker level stupid. MSU will never win consistently; IT'S STARKVILLE F'ING MISSISSIPPI!!!! Drive through Starkville and explain how you sell playing four years ther to a kid.

I'm fine with hiring someone else but some are just dumb as hell in honor JG Mullen isn't overachieving as a coach.

He mismanaged the game last night. He coached like Butch last night.

I don't want another few years of moral victories (like MSU's moral victory last night).

Yeah. Missed the part where he committed pass interference on 3rd and long and he was the reason Bama scored. Lol

Talent wins. Mullen’s 2 and 3 Stars took on Bama’s 5 Stars to the finish line.

We can go ahead and take Mullen off the list.He said after their game last night that he plans to win a SEC title at State and once he does that he plans to win another one at State.His pay will be over 5million after the season,his wife loves it there,they've stacked 3 or 4 top 25 classes in a row, the upcoming Mississippi high school class is being called the best MS instate class the state has ever had by recruiting people,and Mullen's wife loves it there.Mullen's comments last night pretty much says the talk of his leaving needs to stop.

State got lucky with that hire so kudos to them.

3 of his last 4 classes have been ranked in the top 25 and this years class is going to be as well so that would be 4 out of the last 5.He also had two classes ranked in the top 25 during his early days so we must have different meanings to "consistently".

His team this year very well could win 10 games (including a bowl) and State returns 9 on offense and 9 on defense next year on a team Mullen said would be his best one since being at State.So no they didn't "peak" with Dak ...they are going to be loaded next year.

I'll said it again..State got lucky with the Mullen hire.

Please don't tell me you're a Grudenite or someone that thinks a coach like Belichick is going to decide to come down from their throne of winning to coach at a once top program.

All that is just words - very commonly spoken out of a coach's mouth until the ink in on the contract. Unless they say, I am not going anywhere no matter what the offer (and nobody will do that) then it is always up for grabs. Just like their job is always up for grabs no matter how "supportive" the AD sounds.

That game was never in question. Everyone at the game knew that Bama was gonna win. Justin Martin and Sutton couldn’t turn around and look for the ball on every third down.

Why are media outlets pushing Mullen on Tennessee? It’s all over the radio in Nashville and Knoxville media they have on are pushing him as well. This guy is 7-32 against top 15 teams, can’t beat Bama or LSU and don’t recruit outside Mississippi. I just don’t think he’s the guy for a storied program like Tennessee.
