I wouldn't let that stop me. Mike Garrett didn't get permission from Hamilton to start the process with Kiffin to USC.

Just watched the end of the Basilio podcast. This is a guy who thought there was no chance we would get gruden and has said so many times. Tonight at the end of his podcast he got a text from someone he hadn’t received a text from since June who said “for what it’s worth my dad told me tonight that 2 of the big players informed him at the basketball game that JG signed Wednesday night”. He wouldn’t say who it was but told his co host if told you who this was from you wouldn’t believe it

That’s pretty big coming from basillio

Even if gruden is hired I don’t expect him to begin coaching until next season.

My belief is butch will go at the end of the season but if it gets bad which it could tonight if they get beat badly an interm coach may finish out the season? What do you all think

If I had to assign a food to the insiders, it would go as such:

Beaver and Bubba: Scotch and caviar
DTO/Boro/RockyTopSC: Thanksgiving Dinner
Trey Wallace: Supreme pizza
Tuesday: Peanuts

Jimmy Hyams: Unseasoned boiled chicken
DP: Black liquorice

Anyone I’m missing?

I'm a little too anxious waiting on JG to be announced. I'd say this lull could go on for 2 more weeks and no telling what kind of misinformation will be dished out. Some assistants could still be coaching and recruiting is gonna be scrambled like about 5 dozen eggs if certain things go down. Florida is losing a couple already

I still don't think Butch is gone until the end of the season, because Gruden wants it that way. Only way I see Butch gone early is if he steps down on his own.

Ok, serious question here.

I have seen various names thrown around that "have been contacted" by Gruden's camp for OC position. Names like Tee, Jim Bob, K. Briles, and others? What does not make sense to me is the WHY? I do not see Gruden needing to reach out to multiple folks to garner interests. I suspect he has a short list and would be pretty confident of who would accept and be ready to "Seek and Destroy" (my music preference and a shout out to the night crew discussions) at Tennessee. A long laundry list of names appears more as an act of desperation, and that does not fit Gruden's cool and calculated M.O. Anyways, sorry for the long banter, but really scratching my head on this one and figured you all could help provide insight?

I’m sure he has a list names but nothing is guaranteed until he asks them about working under him and at Tennessee to gauge their interest

Agreed, but I do not think that many folks have been contacted, and maybe not even the ones referenced. Thus, I wonder what is smoke, what is BS info, and where is the truth. Probably some where in the middle lies the answer, but still a head scratcher to me...

Sorry to hear about the strep.
My sister has had that many times.
She suggests gargling with a mixture of Jack Daniels, Windex, and some of your own (it must your own) urine.
Two days of this and your throat will be healed and you can go back to swallowing anything completely raw with no pain.
She swears by it and she works in the worlds oldest profession. So, her throat is very important professionally.
