AV might have said some stuff I haven’t seen. At first he said gruden wasn’t on the list. Then he said it might have been a smokescreen. He mentioned that meeting, and I think named gruden as a possible target. He’s never predicted gruden if I recall though.

Beave is whatever. He’s having fun, which is fine. He overplayed his hand though. He’s connected but he’s here to influence. It’s agenda, not information.

You've missed a lot then. He came in and said he has heard good things (can't remember exactly) and that he's at 70%. Then said if he got to 100% he would not say it in here. He hasn't posted since.

How dare you say this!!! You obviously didn't read the "Why Beaver is Legit" post....(disclaimer, that post is hot garbage and I fully agree with you, but somehow no one else seems to see it :huh:).

Only because he's been completely bashing the idea of Gruden happening. He's been making fun of the notion and anyone who believes it on his show. He seems to have had his eyes opened the last 2 nights. I do agree he's a clown though.

I just wish him and others wouldn’t have made people feel like utter fools for buying into Gruden talk.
I understand they can’t talk about it like we can cause it’s their job to be credible, but they didn’t have to be so douchy about it.

Gotcha. I missed the 70% part. Hopefully he’s right.

Was talking to a buddy about all this the other day. Somebody overheard us and asked why gruden.

It’s for the sake of unity. That’s the problem here. Knoxville hasn’t been unified since Johnny Majors was fired, and it’s been a slow burn of destruction since. Yeah we held it together long enough to win a natty. But we’ve all been in different camps since then.

If gruden was hired, even if he never really did what we hoped, everyone would be on the same page. That’s what’s needed more than anything.

I'm not saying he's 100% fake either. I just always remain skeptical of message board posters until they prove themselves, like LWS, AV, Matts, etc. If Gruden is hired, that will verify him for me, but until then I'll remain skeptical. Bubba has always intrigued me more than Beaver anyways.

He’s seen other guys become more open and people want to hear positive news on gruden.

I know I’m skeptical.. but who in their right mind gives any info to that guy?

I just watched the Basilio clip for myself. Here are some thoughts.

1) He looked really taken back at first. Like he could’ve started to believe it was happening.

2) Then he started laughing but hiding the laughter, silently laughing almost to hope that the guy he was on with didn’t hear him. This made me wonder if it was all a prank.

3) He never reveals it as a joke and did say serveral times that it wasn’t. Then at the end, he says “unbelievable.” In a believing tone and the video cuts.


I’m not sure what to make of it, honestly. I think he probably really got the text. But here’s one question he said the text read “My dad said two of the major players, etc.. etc..”

Makes me wonder who could have a dad that is very much in the know, but would also be willing to text someone he hasn’t talked to in 5 months and tell them Gruden is coming. Not all of it adds up.

Btw I listen to Steve from Lexington call into 101.5 everyday and that guy has problems and I feel sorry for him most days but he LOVES his Vols and I hope that Gruden is named the head coach of the Vols and we are returned to greatness so it will make his days brighter at least.

Basilio is playing the role of the skeptic and pessimist due to the history in all of this. Once the big reveal takes place it will be a dramatic turn.

Agreed. I also think Beaver clearly has some sort of inside info to a degree, but I sincerely doubt it is even 10% of what he leads on. His tone does not match someone that would be trusted with ANY information, and I also doubt that someone supposedly connected with a Venture Capitalist group of MIT grads would create the screen name "MIT_anything" lest they want to be immediately caught and outted. My guess is a random employee of a booster that hears tidbits through the grapevine.

I so far think ATL is the top man on the credibility totem pole around here.

BTW. To be clear, I'm not knocking Beaver. I'm just trying to remain logical and remember that it's a message board where true identities are hidden and anyone can sell anything as truth. I hope with everything in me that he's legit.

I think MIT is trolling to some extent but just to get the message across to pressure the powers that be to do the right thing instead of what we got in 2012. I think he is 100% legit.

I agree. I would rank AV and Matts at the top imo. I also think that if MIT isn't legit with all of his info, he at least has an agenda. I don't think he's a troll, because of the extent he's gone to and the time he's taken to do it. If he is, then hats off to him as the GOAT of trolling.
