Gruden baby update: We’re now 16 hours and counting. The epidural is in, the contractions are stronger, and hopefully my son gets here before Gruden. SOON ON BOTH!

Hang in there man.
Wish you would reconsider on the name.
Could Gruden be the middle name?
If not, then maybe Neyland, or Summitt, or Peyton?

Yeah, I'm with you wondering about that.

On the one hand, new coaching staffs sometimes seem to materialize in their new home awfully fast, and get immediately to work. Almost pit crew fast. In those instances, all the coordination would have to have been done before the announcement was made.

But is that important in our situation? Getting CJG's name out there certainly is, to hold a good recruiting class. But having the entire staff show up ready to work the day after the announcement? Not sure that's really such a big deal here.

Guess we'll see.
Something was mentioned a couple of weeks ago - almost as a side note (maybe after Beaver said leaks would increase when Gruden was interviewing staff positions). I asked if he would already have staff decided when announced & was told "yes, for the most part" (not by Beaver but someone that I thought knew what they were talking about). So I think most of that work has been done - even if it's guys that will have to finish out seasons in other places. The only name I've heard that I think is a sure thing is Dale Jones.

Lol. Could never give that out publicly since what she does isn’t exactly what you would technically call “legal”.
But, just ask any attorney or anyone in law enforcement in East Tennessee who runs the cleanest and most respected escort service in the area. She really does do a great job.
And, boy, the stories she tells during holiday get togethers. :eek:hmy:

Okay, you've reeled me in. How do you know she really does do a great job?

I think we could save this recruiting class get Mays back if Gruden would become our next head coach now. We can't wait for Sexton to get Butch a job nobody wants him.

The wife is now in a state of light slumber after a powerful concoction of pain medication administered by the good doctor. It appears it will be at least mid to late morning before my son arrives in this world. I pray he will never know the horrors of the Kiffin/Dooley/Jones years. His dad grew up with Majors and Fulmer and lived in Fort Sanders during the most glorious or glory years. His dad also was heckled by Vandy fans — VANDY FANS — as he left the stadium early during the Dores’ dismantling of Dooley and Co. Thank God he was fired the next morning.

A poster asked if I was naming my son Gruden? The answer is no, because naming a mortal man after an immortal coaching god would be blasphemous, the equivalent of cartoon caricatures of religious prophets. I would never take the Grude Lord Gruden’s name in vain!

It’s going to be a Grude next 12 hours for yours truly. And while my boy won’t be named Gruden, i do wonder if he might hold the distinction of being the first live berth messages in a Volnation Gruden thread? Would that make him our first Gruden Baby?

I love you all!

MY SON IS COMING, SOON LIKE GRUDEN!

Congrats man! Nothing like making another little VFL! My boys changed my world and make it more amazing every day.

Grude morning fellow Grudenites, hope all is well with you. My thoughts on the signed deal Grumer. As with any rumor, it changes slightly every time it's told, human nature if you will. With that said, I think that Gruden has signed something, not sure when or where...doesn't really matter. Too many people telling the same story, different versions. I believe!

Gruden soon!

Yeah it's pretty darn interesting. Basilio might change his tune after that text.

It was mentioned earlier,(in the podcast), that Haslam wanted to let CBJ try and get us in a bowl game. J.Hyams was steadfast in repeatedly saying 0% and said "check my credentials." I don't understand the logic behind any of this.
I need to find out who is this Agee fellow from around Trenton,Tn. I made a mistake by not making a sidenote of the post# in thread 30 but I'll find it. Agee said the exact same thing that was said on Bassillo's podcast.

This place really gets weird during the night shift.

It's actually pretty tame compared to the '12 Night Shift days when Goat, Sam, Cooke, Ruck, El Grande, and myself would have serious drunken in depth discussions on the finer points of ghost hunting and Squatchin.

Edit to add the time of the Zone attack on the '12 Night Shift.
It was an all out assault of hilarity.
Goat went absolutely mental because he was easily triggered and triggering was what the old Zoners did best.
Me, of course being the cheap slut that I am, took my sweet trifling ass into the Zone seeking acceptance.
Good times.
